Island Indigo Christmas

This Beautiful Blue tones Christmas card uses my FAVORITE Tree set ever....."Evergreen".  If you did not purchase this set last year, you're in luck, it is on the carryover list!  This stamp set can look oh so natural or elegant!  Paired with our Winter Frost Designer paper and Silver ribbon this makes a very Elegant card!  I will be posting Elegant cards for the next few days.

This card starts with a Whisper White card base and an Island Indigo mat.  The mat is embossed with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder.  The Tree was stamped in Smoky Slate.  Silent Night wording in Island Indigo.  Ink your stamp really good so it makes the gray fade into the background.  The Tree is then cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  Cut a 2 inch strip of the Designer paper and crop the bottom piece with the same Framelit.  Adhere and tie a bow over the seam with the Silver ribbon.  Another carryover item Merry Minis punch pack provides the star punched from Silver Glimmer paper

Postage For a Friend.....

This card came about due to Tempting Turquoise scraps.  I am really trying to use as I go and avoid all the scrap piles I sweep into a box never to be seen again for a year or two!  Plus I want to give you ideas how to design around the pile of leftovers in front of you.  This Hostess Stamp set "Postage Collection" has lots of options, so keep in mind you can make this masculine, feminine or for a child.  Just change the images, colors and the words. 

I used a Whisper White card base and added Tempting Turquoise card stock and Designer patterned paper from a Retired Brights stack.  I adhered them together to total 4 1/4 inches to cover the entire card front.  Embossed with the Chevron embossing folder, or use any folder of your choice.  The Retired Gray ribbon that we all LOVED was ran across the seam and tucked underneath the top layer and adhered to the card base.  A snip of Island Indigo Bakers twine cinches in one side.  The Frames were stamped in Tempting Turquoise and the sentiments in Basic Gray.  Punched with the Postage punch and layered on the larger Square punch, which to my dismay we no longer sell?  When did that happen?  I need to pay more attention before I get carried away with a card!!  This would also fit nicely on the Artisan Label punch!  I'll use this set again for a totally different look in a few days.

Very Vanilla and Basic Black

I have a customer who requests Congratulations cards and I'm listening!  Here are a couple of samples that would work well for any occasion.  These designs will be available to make at the November Stamp a Stack.  Make them Congrats, Birthday, Wedding, Get Well, Sympathy or my Favorite sentiment "Throw Caution to the Wind" from "Spread the Joy". 
Make cards and Spread your Joy to others!! I cracked open the "Modern Medley'" designer paper for these cards and all I can say is YUMMY.  Love this paper!!

 Up first, the above card has a Basic Black mat cut 4 1/8 X 4 1/2.  I had cut the Designer paper 4X4, but need to trim a 1/4 off so it would fit the Basic Black mat.  All I can say is HAPPY ACCIDENT, cause if you turn this paper over that tiny band of Polka Dots is what you get!!  I adhered to the Black mat and embossed with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder(does not show up on this card).  I used Background Builders at the bottom of the card.  The sentiment was punched out with the Xlarge Oval punch and layered on a Artisan Label punch cut in half to peek from the top and bottom. 

Next, the same paper in a horizontal layout.  This time the Basic Black card stock is cut 4 X 2.  Emboss this piece before adding to the card.  Add your Modern Medley paper and the polka dot strip  You could use ribbon here if you like.  The Congratulations is from Layered Labels and is cut out the Apothecary Framelits.  Pearls accent this label.  Simple yet stunning card!

Peace On Earth, Calm Christmas

I have seen oodles of cards made with this stamp set and they have all been running thru my mind trying to come out with a Masterpiece.  Not quite there yet, but I was using the same ingredients from the Nativity card featured yesterday.  I want you to see all the possibilities with your supplies, how versatile and creative you can be with "other" uses for everyday items left over on your craft table! 

This card base is Whisper White with an Early Expresso Core'dinations mat.  You can use regular Early Expresso card stock, but it was on my table!  Again the Birch seemed to be a good background choice.  The Dove was stamped with White craft ink and Heat embossed with White embossing powder on Marina Mist card stock.  Circle framelits are used to cut the Dove and the Early Expresso circle.  The sentiment was also embossed in Early Expresso ink and embossing powder on the Gold Foil sheets and punched with the Xlarge Oval punch.  More Doves to come, stay tuned........

How cute is this stamp set of past Stampin' Up images and a new image that fits the Bracket punch!!  And do you see who is back?  FROSTY!! 
Smaller, but still our Beloved Frosty the Snowman!!  Love this stamp and still use it for cards for the Troops and will be ordering mine asap so I can get my hands on this guy and create some cards!

Best of Christmas

I must admit, I purchased this Best of set for this adorable Nativity.  The image is embossed in Early Expresso on the Gold Foil sheets!  This was an experiment that worked!!

The card base is Crumb Cake, with a Crumb Cake mat.  The mat is scruffed for a ragged edge.  Birch paper from the Thankful Tablescape kit adds another layer of texture.  Textured Early Express Core'dinations card stock backs the Golden Nativity.  Peace on Earth is stamped directly to the Birch paper and a ribbon of 7/16 Natural trim continues the earthy natural feel of this card.
