Dog Giggles

This Dog and sentiment can be for many occasions.  Graduation, good grades, passing the Driver's test, new Job, new Car the possibilities are endless!  I wanted to keep it Black and White.  The card base is Naturals White, with a Black mat and Modern Medley Designer paper.  This panel is embossed with the Chevron embossing folder.
The Dog is stamped with Black Stazon ink and cut with the Circle Framelits.  A Larger Black circle is cut as a frame.  The Sentiment from The Best of Shelli is stamped on a Banner from the Circle Thinlits, but could easily be created by flagging the ends of a 3/4 inch of card stock.  The Heart was colored with a Cherry Cobbler marker.

Label Flip

Another new Arrival in My latest stampin' order was the Label Thinlits!!  I love these and have been trying some new things!  It is so easy to trim out your Designer paper and layer on the card base.  Etcetera Designer paper is very vintage looking with yummy colors!  Remember the colors are now listed on the back of each Designer paper pack.

The card base is Baked Brown Sugar.  Etcetera Designer paper is cut to fit.  The Back panel is embossed with the Argyle embossing folder to accent the Argyle pattern stamped on the front panel in Baked Brown Sugar.  The Argyle stamp is from Best of Shelli and was so easy to line up and stamp down the side.

I also used the words from this Framelit, they pop out pretty easy, I used the paper piercing tool to coax out the twirls on Hi.  A Bit of tombow glues these down perfectly.  The label shape included with this set frames perfectly on the card.  I cut 2 of these in Naturals Ivory, so the Baked Brown Sugar words would pop!  A pearl dots the I and a Heart adds a layer I heart You!

Harvest of Thanks

This Stamp set arrived Friday with the August Mystery Hostess order and I could not wait to ink it up!  I had some leftover tape from the Paper Pumpkin kit and it made a perfect ribbon behind this sentiment.

Flower Shop provides the perfect background.  Flowers are stamped in Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze on Ivory Naturals card stock.  Extra Flowers are stamped and punched with the matching punch.  The Harvest panel is inked in Baked Brown Sugar and cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  A piece of our natural trim ribbon would also make a great ribbon in lieu of the tape.

Cat Giggles

Anyone viewing early this morning....sorry for the empty post.  I tend to lose track of the days when the Royals are in town and this cat has been giving me fits.  I keep setting it aside and making another card!!  So finally this little feline is done!

The card base is Very Vanilla with a Raspberry Ripple mat.  Birthday Basics Designer paper provides the Candle back drop and another pattern in the pack gives the Raspberry contrast.  A snip of Bermuda Bay is embossed with the Needlepoint Border embossing folder.  Kitty is stamped in Black Stazon on Very Vanilla and cut with the Label Framelits.  A Bermuda Bay Frame accents the image.  The ball of yarn is a Itty Bitty Shapes punch covered with a glue dot and Island Indigo Bakers twine.  Love this card NOW, isn't it funny how we sometimes struggle with a design and suddenly it all comes together!!

Ingredients:

Giggle Greetings  131065 Clear $16.95,  131062 Wood 22.95

Cheesy Birthday

I saw a card like this at Convention, but was out of swaps.  So here is my version......

The card base is Whisper White.  Cut a mat 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 of Crushed Curry.  Punch the large hole with the 2 1/2 inch circle punch.  Then use various size circle punches and make cheese.  Then use the Perfect Polka dots embossing folder for some texture/  Adhere the mat to the card base.  Ink up the Cheese stamp with Stazon Black and stamp in the large circle.  Ink and Stamp the sentiment portion on a 1/2 X 3 inch scrap.  Flag one end.  Layer on a 3/4 X 3 1/2 inch piece of Pacific Point card stock.  Flag end and pop up.  I used the Pacific Point, Soft Sky and Crushed Curry markers to color the image.  Super Cute!!
My Room mate Mona gave us all this card using the same stamp set.

Flowers for Aunt Irene

My Great Aunt Irene is 98 and been having some serious health problems.  Thankfully she went to a different Doctor and after a short stay in the Hospital she is home alone and doing fine!  She is such a trooper and was such a great friend to my Father as he battled cancer 3 years ago.  I try to send her a card every week and this one went in the mail this morning.  Another Swap from my Room mate Mona.  Having cards on hand is such a Blessing!!
Very Simple and love the color combo of Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe.

I wanted to make a Triple Layer for the next Stamp a Stack using these colors, but this layout has many possibilities, so here is my stepped up version:

I love this color combo with a bit of Smoky Slate added!  Summer Silhouettes was stamped randomly along with a flower from Flower Shop on Shimmery White card stock.  I wish you could see the sparkle!   The 3 panels were embossed with the Pretty Print embossing folder from the Holiday catalog. I used a few pearls as accents and the Sentiment from Best of Greetings.  The Label punch and Scalloped Oval punch frame the Sentiment.

Wetlands Sponged.......

Here is another Wetlands card that has been sponged to create a background.  This would also work for the Masking tape technique.  Cut a Frame and either sponge or use the tape to create a background.

I chose an Oval, cut out a template using the Oval Framelits.  Stamped the Birds and Sentiment, then began sponging on the color.  Soft Sky for the sky.......
Then sponge Perfect Plum, Marina Mist and a hint of Crisp Cantaloupe.  Start light, you can always add more color.  But taking it back is not an option!!  A Perfect Plum mat is edged with a Finishing Touches Edgelit and added to the Soft Sky card base.  Easy Peasy and perfect for lots of Occasions!!

Ingredients:

Wetlands  126697  Clear $16.95,  126695 Wood  $21.95

Whisper White card stock  100730  $8.50
Soft Sky card stock  131203  $6.95

Fall Wall Hanging

This Fall Banner has been rolling around in my head for weeks and I love they way it turned out.  It is more of a wall hanging, not what I had originally envisioned, but great for an entry way, kitchen, wherever you want a pop of  FALL!

Here are step by step pictures:

Sponge Daubers are the best option for lettering.  I used Cajun Craze ink and my grid paper to make sure my letters were lined up.  The stencils rinse off with water and are ready to go for the next project!
I was going to spritz the background like the previous banners with the stencils, but the Wonderfall Stamp set was calling me......I had already stamped and cut a pile of leaves with the Autumn Accents Leaf die, but I wanted a more random background.  So I stamped directly to the canvas.  Used Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Baked Brown Sugar and Early Expresso inks.
The 9 feet of Jute twine in the kit is perfect for this Autumn look.  I folded the twine in half and made a knot to use as a hanger.  I threaded the twine from front to the back of the banner, then up and over the top and thru the front again.  I attached a Popsicle to the top banner since it bears the most weight.
Adjust the twine evenly on each side and attach the next banner.

I then strung random leaves with a needle and Linen thread wide enough to cover the top of each banner.  These are tied with the Linen Thread to the Jute twine.  Attach a leaf or two with a dimensional to keep them from moving around too much.
Here is a close up of the Top Banner and below the full Banner.

Ingredients:

Build a Banner Simply Created Kit  133507  $19.95
Wonderfall  128087  Clear  $17.95,  131949 Wood  $24.95

Oops, Sorry about that!!

I was supposed to finish that Best of Shelli post and make a card, but after a late movie night it slipped my mind!  The Butler is a great movie, very thought provoking especially if you lived in that time!

Here is snip of another Photo Polymer stamp set available now.  Back to the craft room after church to work on my Fall Banner, which I think I an going to actually try hanging the banners vertical for more of a wall hanging.  Wish me luck!!
133454  $13.95  10 stamps, these stamps come in a clear envelope and do not require assembly.

Flower Fold

Here is another Horizontal Fold using the Circle Thinlit.  Shelli the Ceo of Stampin' Up showed a sample that inspired this card.  If you get a chance check out her blog:  www.SoShelli.com

She posts some amazing projects and talks about her Family and is a great inspiration to all of us Demonstrators around the world.  My card is much simpler as I want to be able to offer it as a Stamp a Stack option.

The card base is Crumb Cake and the Designer paper is SoHo Subway.  The Flower Shop bundle provides the stamps and punch to add the Crisp Cantaloupe flowers.  Randomly stamped directly to the card base and 2 stamped on Very Vanilla and punched out with the matching punch.  The centers were darkened with an Early Expresso marker.
The Crisp Cantaloupe 2 1/2 Scallop Circle punch is "Felted".  If you are not familiar with this technique, it is very easy.  Use your Bone folder or a Popsicle stick and distress your paper.  Going round and round until the layers of card stock start to separate.  Gently pull layers apart and expose the inner layer which resembles and feels like felt!  Love the texture this adds to the card.  7/16 Trim burlap ribbon and a strip of Halloween Washi tape add some interest inside the fold.  I did notice a few Halloween words, so need to watch that when adding to NON Halloween cards!  But this is a sample!  At Stamp a Stack we can use a strip of newsprint paper!
And the bottom flap was embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.  I chose the Sympathy Sentiment from Best of Sayings, but this card would be appropriate for many occasions.
