More Fall Cards

 I finished the cards I blogged about the other day and used some additional embossing folders and Vellum!  I love how these turned out and 30 NEW cards will be on the RACK in the Morning at the Independence Uptown Market.

This first card is a Book Fold and uses a New Embossing folder called Softly Woven,  so much Texture!! 168466  $12.00.  I cut my Designer paper in rectangles so you can mix, match and FLIP!!  For maximum pattern mixing.  I love how the Golden Glow Embossed edge pulls the color across the card from the Floral pattern.  168351 Sunflower Fields  $13.00 12X12 Designer paper

These 2 cards use the Sunflower and Retired Leaf embossing folders.  Both cards had Crumb Cake ink drug over the embossing.  Your pressure on the INK pad controls the saturation of color!  A bit of Vellum for accents.  167099  Vellum  $10.00  12  12X12 sheets

This Sunflower paper was perfect for the Sunflower embossing folder.  No inking this time, just embossing to give texture and movement to these Flowers.  Circle Dies look like a Flower popping off the card front.  166145  Sunflower 3D embossing folder $12.00

This long Retired embossing folder was a perfect partner with this paper Pattern.  The embossing blurs the images and the paper above the embossing has a Monet look!  I added a Vellum Daisy for an accent.

These last 3 cards are not embossed but just as beautiful!  Daisy, Leaves and Acorns for embellishments.  The Thank You card below is the OOPS and see how that Circle covers the OOPS!  Grab some paper and embellishments and make some cards this weekend!

Embossing Folder Technique

 Embossing adds such a lovely Texture to cardstock AND Designer paper.  Dragging an INK pad over an Embossed image highlights the Embossing and adds depth to a card.  This Leaf folder is Retired but paired perfectly with this Painted Patch Designer paper.  Timid Tiger card base, Cajun Craze ink.  Open your INK pad and gently drag across the surface.  Ink smudge the edges or not....I accented the Sentiment with a Leaf and Acorn.  

Another Painted Patch Pattern with the Sunflower 3D embossing folder.  Cajun Craze card base and Ink.  The Ink makes the Sunflowers pop from the background.  I added a Retired Daisy Die as an accent.

 I also Chopped Sunflower Fields paper in 3 pieces and here are 2 of my cards. First on a Old Olive card base.  All these patterns have Sunflowers and I found a Retired set and added a Sunflower as a focal point.  I colored with the NEW IN color Shimmer pens!  Golden Glow and Peaceful Pine.  Lots of Shimmer!!

On this Cajun Craze card base a checked patterned anchors the Sunflowers.  I used the Leaves and an Acorn for accents.

Painted Patch

 I have been hoarding this paper until Fall.....we had a Day and then back to 90 degrees so I CHOPPED it up anyway!  I have not used this Technique for a long time.  Cut at least 3 patterns 4 X 5 1/4.  Stack them and then CHOP them into 3 pieces.  Use Angles or stick to Rectangles.  Mix and match for a Pattern mixed background!  Here are my card fronts:

3 patterns above on Timid Tiger card base.  

Below I used 2 like patterns and threw in a scrap from the Sunflower paper(more of that tomorrow) on a Cajun Craze card base.

And this Mix is on Secret Sea card stock.  Here you see what happens when you want a different pattern and the Angle is not quite right!  You improvise and COVER the OOPS later!

And here is a finished card,  I stamped and colored some Pumpkins and used Timid Tiger for the Sentiment.  Now that I study this picture....I see Acorns, Leaves and even Mushrooms!  I need to use those DIES I featured last week and add some embellishments!!
