Happy Birthday Takeout Box

Did you guys notice you got a 2 for 1 yesterday?  I was up late and with the time zone difference in Blogger, PST, my Frightful Wreath post for Saturday went on Friday, so I had to quick add the Boo Box.  Double dose of goodness!!

So here is Sunday, and this time we are making a Takeout Box with this FABULOUS tool!  I love it and made today's box and tomorrow's tags included in less than an hour.  Photos, stamping, creating at it's finest.  My mind is reeling with Box ideas and who wouldn't want one of these cuties filled with candy, golf balls, a gift card, whatever that person enjoys.  You can design a Box to fit! 

 

I tried to emboss the Pool Party card stock before I folded, did not work, so ignore those little dots on the flaps.  This box is 2.5 X 2.5 X 3.25 and used a 9 X 9 square of paper.

 

 

 

 
I made the Tag by layering Pool Party, Crushed Curry and the stamped Banner using Amazing Birthday and the Banner Framelits.  Coastal Cabana twine is inserted between the Banners and hung from one of the points.

 And here is how I covered up most of my oops with the embossing folder.  I cut a 12 X 3 piece of Flashback designer paper and then used the Decorative dots embossing folder.  Emboss one end, then the other.  There will be a small blank space but this paper is so busy that when you fold and adhere the dsp to the box you will not even see it!

Perfect weight paper for making boxes.  And here is my first box using Basic Black card stock.  I made this box start to finish while watching the Royals game tonight.  I would say 30 minutes tops and that includes stamping and taking photos!

I used a 10 X 10 piece of Basic Black card stock.  My finished box is 4 X 4 X 2.5.  After watching the video it was so easy !  I did not use the clasp punch.  Instead I used my cropodile to punch a hole so I could use the Tangerine Tango trim.  Motley Monsters Designer paper on 2 sides and embossed White Ghosts on the other sides.  I used the Freaky Friends stamps on the tag and Boo to You is from Good Greetings.  All of these items can be found in the Holiday catty.  And Good Greetings can be yours FREE if you Host a $300 party.

SO now for the picture tutorial..........perfect score lines, this tool is smooth!

 Add your stamping before you fold, remember the point goes up!  The center area is the bottom of your box.

 I then added 2 X 3 1/2 pieces of the Monster paper, then fold.  I added sticky strip between each valley and peassed them together.

 Punched a hole with the cropodile in 2 of the top flaps and strung the Tangerine Tango Trim thru.

 Stamped a simple tag, using the Tag Topper punch.  Added the Tag to the top.

 Ink colors used match the Motley Monsters.  Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Black and Tangerine Tango.

Frightful Wreath Kit

Easy Fall

Today I am sharing a super easy card using limited supplies.  When I cut the Crumb Cake Banner on the Pumpkin card a few days ago, it was too large.  So I took the next size smaller Banner Framelit and cut again.  I was left with what you see below.  And of course I could not bear to throw it away.  So here you go....simple, sweet and Hello Fall!!

I used a Natural Ivory card base, stamped the smudge in Crumb Cake, the leaf spray in Blackberry Bliss.  Added a smidge of Color Me AutumnWashi tape and a Banner stamped with Hello Honey and the sentiment in Black Berry Bliss.  All stamps are from "For All Things"

For All Things.....Give Thanks!!

I love the grungy look and here is another Stamp set with that Watercolor feel and it is designed to go with the Color Me Autumn Designer paper.  The leaves in the paper match the Oak leaf in the stamp set.  Sorry you have to cut these out, but they are very easy to snip.  I stamped Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss as my accent colors.  The large Smudge is Crumb cake and the sentiment is Blackberry Bliss. 
A warning to all that love Blackberry Bliss as much as I do, it hangs on in the least expected places and ends up on your project where you did not intend it to be!   So grab a sponge and add some more!!  It was meant to be there!!!

A side piece of Blackberry Bliss and the DSP are embossed with Decorative Dots embossing folder.  The leave were curled and crumpled then tied with Linen Thread and one of the cutest embellishments ever, our new Autumn Wood Elements.

Color Me Autumn......

I had to do another pumpkin and show off some of this Yummy "Color Me Autumn" designer paper.  Great colors, great patterns = Great cards!! 

The card base is Naturals Ivory with a Old Olive card stock accent and Crumb Cake banner. 
I adhered the dsp to the Old Olive and embossed with the Tiny Triangles embossing folder.  The sentiment from "Mingle All the Way" which mingles Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years sentiments in one set.  Stamped in Old Olive and cut with the Banner Framelits,
I used the fat pumpkin and leaf from Fall Fest and cut them out with the matching framelits.  Cajun Craze and Old Olive ink.  A snip of Linen Thread and this card is ready to mail.  Tune in tomorrow for another paper pattern.

Trick or Treat!

As promised here is the BOO, the Ghost in this stamp set "Fall Fest" with matching Framelits.  I stamped my Ghost with White Craft ink on Black card stock and embossed with White embossing powder.  Pumpkins are Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry with Momento Black faces.  The Adorable paper is from "Motley Monsters".  See the paper is not all scary!!  The reverse side is little leaves of the same colors with a Motley Monster Border.  I cut the Monsters off at 4X6 and will use them in my Project Life pages.  I love how Stampin' Up! coordinates and matches for ALL your projects.

Fall Fest

Next on the list of new product is an adorable Photopolymer set called "Fall Fest".  I had a totally different card in mind, but this retired paper has been on my table for weeks to use up for the troops cards.  So I decided to blend it all together and show you a tip for using Photopolymer stamps on the way. 

The first card shows the pumpkin stamped on Very Vanilla on the table top.  Notice the area with little ink?  Your stamp will look fully inked, but will leave a few areas like below.  How do you correct that?  Not that it's really a bad thing, after all pumpkins are not perfect and a few blemishes add character.

Unexpected Homes?

And here is the last card using the Holiday Homes, I still need to make a Christmas card with this stamp set, but it is hot, so I will spare you!  These houses turned into arrows with the snip of a Chimney.  Love it, any occasion, any sentiment, any color combo!! 

I used a Naturals White card base, Night of Navy, Real Red and Typeset Designer paper.  Cut out 6 Spooky homes and snipped off the chimneys.  Embossed with Decorative Dots and Arrows.  Sentiment is from "Just Sayin" which coordinates with Word Bubbles Framelits.

Halloween Home.....

This cute Halloween card features some of the Halloween stamps in this set.  Love this Ghost and so easy to cut out!  The Designer paper is also new, Motley Monsters, what you don't see on this piece of paper are the "eyes'' staring back at you from amongst the trees!  I'm saving those pieces for you to use at Stamp a Stack!

 

This House has a Spookier look, perfect for Halloween, especially with bats circling and a Ghost coming from the Chimney!  I added a Sponged Hello Honey Full Moon, new Tangerine Tango twine and a Crumb Cake Tag Punch as the focal point.  The House is Basic Gray with the windows tinted with the Hello Honey marker.  The card base is Smoky Slate.  All new items available August 28th!

Holiday Home and Homemade Holiday Framelits

Oh I love this combo and the cards we can make with it!!  I will show you three cards in the next three days.   Two expected and 1a bit unexpected, but will show you the versatility of this stamp set and it's only $15.95 or the Bundle $31.95!!  And you can purchase starting August 28th!!

The stamp set is Photopolymer and has 24 stamps!!  I used one of the 3 houses, the trees, leaves, sentiment and the pumpkin.  How cute is this!!  The Hello Fall is from "For All Things" a great stamp set also in the Holiday catalog, more coming with that set later this week.

I punched  2 1/2 inch circles in Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist.  Cut them to fit over the Whisper White base framed with Early Expresso.  I stamped the House on Naturals Ivory, colored with Baked Brown Sugar and Cajun Craze markers, then cropped out with the Framelit.  A piece of line thread ties the hills together.  Sentiments in this set cover Halloween, Thanksgiving, New Home and Christmas.

Watercolor Winter Card Kit ......the other 2

Here we go with the rest of the kit.  I love the look of these cards.  They do not look like a kit!

This card uses the woodgrain background but it is hard to see in the picture.  Lots of letter in this kit.  These were water colored woth Bermuda Bay and the paint brush, then clued with Tombow to the card.  The vellum Holly was colored with Old Olive ink, the Gold Glimmer paper dots were popped out and added.  Christmas wast stamped on the pre-cut banner in Old Olive.  Sequins from the kit were scattered and I also added a few flakes from "Frosted Sequins" in the new Holiday catty.

The background of this card is Smoky Slate stripes done with the paint brush.  I was a bit imtimidated, but must say it was pretty easy and will use this technique on many cards to come.  The letters are all together so you color, then add glue to the tops and add to the twine to form a banner look.  Another Vellum snowflake and sequins.  I did add one Frosted flake and sequin to the center to cover my glue dot.

This Snowflake was sponged with Pistachio Pudding ink, the lighter green in the Designer Paper stack from the Holiday catalog.  I added some of the Frosted sequins to the Snowflake, Silver Foil paper behind the designer paper and a Slim Silver trim bow.  Joy is from Bright & Beautiful and is stamped in the Silver encore ink.

Watercolor Winter Card kit

Ok I know it is August, but the Holiday catty starts with Christmas so I am too!  I wanted to show this kit first because it is amazing!!  Stuff for 20 cards and MORE!  And it is only $24.95!!  No designing, just stamping and FUN!!  And gorgeous cards!  If you want to make your own cards this year we have the kit for you.  All you need extra is 3 or 4 colors of ink and some stamps.  I did not order the matching stamps as I have plenty of stamps to choose from.  I will show you 2 kit cards today and Wednesday and a BONUS card each day I made from my other supplies inspired by this kit.  A paint brush is included for you to water color with and I squeezed ink in my stamp pad lids and added a drop or two of water.  It worked great and I love the look.

Kit card #1

This Cherry Cobbler sled caught my eye in the catalog, the sled is all cut out, you pop it out and paint!  The crumb cake card base is dotted and you add your layers and DONE!!

Great Striped card base and allready embossed background!  I painted the trees with Old Olive and popped them up over the Gold Glimmer paper trees.  Joy and the Coastal Cabana background pops out of a sheet.  EASY!!  And another cute envelope.

I could not resist using the negative vellum from the snowflake to sponge!  I used Old Olive and Coastal Cabana ink to sponge the flakes.  Then stamped the Sentiment from another new set Ornamental Pine in Bermuda Bay.  Silver Metallic Baker's twine from the Big catalog is perfect to hang one of our new Snowflakes.  These little Snowflakes would make great earrings!!

For the Troops!!

I wanted to get this posted before I dive into the new toys I have to play with, or I knew it would be hard to stop and get this box ready for the Troops.  Carrie contributed 40 cards!  Miss you and Halloween, Carrie is an Amazing card maker and even colored!!  Awesome work Carrie!! 

I have been making a few here and there so I was surprised that after adding labels and putting in clear envelopes there were 147 of my own handy work!  So 187 cards in the box, room for a few more.  So if you attend any of the August events feel free to bring a few cards to add to the box.  Miss and Love You or Halloween themed.
