Bunny Baby

I won this stamp set in November at Onstage and have been waiting til Spring to use this set.  Just like Baby Bear, this is a 3 step stamp.  I find using the lightest color for the back ground Daffodil Delight is a good start.  Then Crushed Curry and finally Smoky Slate for the final detail.

The card base is Smoky Slate and the Smoky Slate Checked ribbon is so perfect for this card.  I embossed a piece of Vellum with the Petal Pairs embossing folder and then sponged with Daffodil Delight ink.  You could change up the colors on this Bunny in anything pastel for Baby Cards and Announcements!

Daffodil Easter

Easter is April 1st, so time to get busy on Easter cards!  This one is pretty simple and will be a card in the Watercolor class.  Check my website for dates and rsvp to learn Watercolor 3 ways!

I used a Daffodil Delight card base with a Pear Pizzazz strip and rounded the corners on the Whisper White panel.  Stazon ink and colored with our Watercolor Pencils. 

I then blended the entire image with the Clear Wink of Stella brush.  Love how the Shimmer blends the colors and looks so real.  Sequins from the Tutti Frutti suite add even more shimmer!

St. Pats Brew

The Bubble Over Bundle is perfect for many Occasions and why not St. Patrick's Day?  I love how embossing the Brown Bottles give such a real glass look.  And the little Hearts from Coffee Cafe make a great Shamrock!

I mixed up many elements used in the past few days.  Coffee Break Designer paper, Amazing You stamps and the Hearts can come from many sets you may have hanging around in your craft room!

I used a Crumb Cake card base and stamped some Bubbles in Crumb Cake ink.  Celebrate was stamped with Garden Green.

Bottles were Soft Suede stamped with Versamark and Clear embossing powder.  Heat emboss then cut with the Framelits.  I then stamped some Bottle labels with Garden Green and cut with the Framelits.  I masked off the word Birthday and covered the space with Linen Thread to make the Sentiment more fitting for the St. Pat's Holiday.

Shamrock Hearts

Hearts make GREAT Shamrocks and with Heart Happiness you can choose the Pattern of your Shamrock.  I used the Stripes on this card.  Stamping 3 Hearts in Garden Green and cutting out.  I popped them up over 3 more stamped Hearts for some dimension.

I started with a Crumb Cake card base and a 4 X 5 1/4 piece of Coffee Break Designer paper.  The Garden Green in this paper pack works really well for St. Pats and Masculine cards.

Daffodil Blends

I have posted some more Watercolor classes and this is one of the cards we will be making.  This card uses the Blends markers.

Growing up Daffodils were one of my favorite flowers and Grandma had a garden full of them.  I planted lots of varieties when I lived in the country and need to start a few bulbs at my current house.  The sweet smell is intoxicating and they are a sure sign of Spring!

I stamped with Momento Black ink on Daffodil Delight card stock.  I then colored with the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Blends, Light Calypso Coral, Light Old Olive and Light Crumb Cake.  The Clouds were stamped with Soft Sky ink and cut out with the Up & Away Framelits.  The card base is Pear Pizzazz.

Powder Pink Wedding

This card was inspired by the Petal Pair Embossing folder with the Floral pattern.  This folder is stunning all alone on a colored piece of cardstock.  But on Whisper White and sponged with color really makes a statement. 

I used a Powder Pink card base and added the Sentiment and Powder Pink dots.  The embossed panel was sponged with Powder Pink, Sweet Sugar Plum, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz.  

I finished this card off with a Powder Pink bow.  Wedding, Anniversary and many more Occasions for this card!

Heartfelt Blends

Here is another card using the Wood Mount Heartfelt Blooms stamp set.  This time I stamped with Momento ink and colored with the Blends Markers.

I used a Pear Pizzazz card base and stamped on a Whisper White panel.  Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blends were colored directly to the stamped images.  The shading on the stamp gives natural shading to the images. 

You can see even more detail on this close up.  I stamped the sentiment on Vellum 1 1/4 X 4 1/2.  Then folded over the edges around the white panel.  To make the Sentiment show up better I added a 1 X 4 inch piece of Daffodil Delight card stock behind the vellum.  Love how the Sentiment floats on the card front!

Heartfelt Wishes WOOD!!!

I have not ordered a Wood Mount stamp set in years....but this Sale-a-bration stamp set is worth the WOOD!  And since this set is FREE with a $50 purchase it will not cost you any extra!!

Why wood?  The Flower image is pretty BIG and does not want to adhere to the clear block.  Wood gives a nice even surface to ink and press against without the worry of the stamp falling off your block.  This photo realistic stamp design does not like to be re-inked so using a stamp-a-ratus does not really help.

Crafting on Vacation

Vacation is over and time to get back in the groove!  Not an easy thing to do!  At least I came home on a warm day and more warm days in the forecast!  While in Florida last week I did some crafting.....ceramics!  I had not done this for years and our Hostess Teresa arranged a painting session and will bring our items to us in a few weeks.  FUN, FUN, FUN!!  I really need to find a local studio so I can make a set of matching vases!
