Santa Petal Cone Box

How cute is this guy?  And with the Petal Cone Die, Santa is a snap to make!!

Cut a 8 1/2 X 11 piece of Real Red card stock in half  at the 5 1/2 inch mark.  Run both sheets thru the Big Shot.  Cut 1 Sheet of Whisper White card stock in half, run thru Big Shot.  This will give you beard pieces and other pieces to use on future projects.  Fold your red pieces on score lines and add Sticky Strip to the flaps.  Build your Santa by trimming one of the white cones in half. Cut about 3/4 way up, save the point for a tree on another card! Cut down the half scallop for the hair. Punch from your scrap with the 1 1/4 Scallop punch. Run these 3 white pieces thru the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Embossing folder.
Punch an Xlarge oval in Pink Pirouette card stock for Santa's face and a Itty Bitty Shapes Circle for his nose. The mustache is 2 wings from the Bird Builder punch!! Glue down the large beard piece, it will fit perfectly since it is cut from the same die. I sponged some cheeks on Santa's face and around his nose with Real Red classic ink. Added some google eyes. Add his hair to his face.  I used glue dots to attach and popped up his mustache on Stampin' dimensionals. Sounds complicated but really very easy!!

Leave the bottom open as shown.

Punch 2 small circles and using a paper piercer and Mini Silver brads make a closure for the Santa Box.  I used White Bakers Twine to wind around the circles and close the box.

  2. This is so so so cute. But does all those shapes cute from the one die or are you also using other punches? On the white paper. Confused!

    1. I used the 1 1/4 scallop circle punch for the top of his hat, and the Bird Builder punch for his mustache, otherwise the white parts are from the die.
