This card is inspired by a card Shelli the CEO of Stampin' Up posted on her blog last week. Shelli tends to use minimal layers and lots of spritzing. I must say it is not always my favorite, but this particular card was stunning. So here is my interpretation.....
A Crumb Cake card base was stamped with the Madison Avenue images in three different colors. Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry and Crumb Cake. Not perfect, but hey it is ART!! The Sentiment from Vintage Verses was stamped in Crumb Cake ink on Whisper White card stock. I used Apothecary Framelits to cut this out and Ovals Collection Framelits for the Island Indigo card stock.
Two different paper piercing packs were used. Occasions from the Spring mini and Essentials from the Big catalog. For $7.95 you get 3 templates and they really are essential to add that little bit of detail that makes your card stand out! Rich Razzleberry buttons were threaded with Linen Thread and used to accent the Framed Sentiment.
Shelli is famous for spritzing, so I grabbed a spritzer and filled it halfway with water and added 2 drops of Early Expresso ink. Shake and instant spritz! I held the card at arms length and gave a spray or two, dried with the heat tool and WA LA, Natural simple elegance!!
