Painters Tape Technique!

You may have seen this technique on Splitcoast stampers, but in case you didn't it is so simple and makes a fabulous background!  Here is the finished card.

And here is how it started:

In the tutorial on Splitcoast it said to use Photo paper, but Stampin' Up Naturals card stock works perfectly.  I made 20 swaps for Convention and used the same 3 pieces of painters tape, you can control the color saturation by barely letting the tape touch the card, then use it on another card.  No two cards will be alike.  On this card I used Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe and Perfect Plum.  I stamped the Birds and Sentiment in Night of Navy, sea oats in Summer Starfruit and grass in crumb cake.  I colored the grass below the goose with the marker and stamped across the card.

I then embossed the entire card front with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder.  Simple and Subtle, perfect for many occasions, even Sympathy.
