Flower Fusion Sizzlit

How did I miss this little gem in my stack of stuff?  I guess I never saw it used, or possibly was not paying attention?  LOL.  Anyway lots of other demos are using this die to make flowers in every color of our cardstock to show the new Color Collections after the renovation.  I was inspired to see if I had the die and I did.  I have been missing the Summer Starfruit/Basic Gray combo and decided to use these colors for this card.  For the Summer Starfruit lovers........Awwwwwwh!  For the not so in lovers......is it growing on you yet?

Each cut of this Sizzlit provides all 3 sizes to layer your flower.  I cut cardstock 2 inches by 11, getting 4 strips out of 1 sheet of cardstock and 5 Flowers per strip.  20 flowers from 1 sheet, so thats a good value!!

And after looking at the above picture, I think I can squeeze a Bitty Butterfly out of the scrap in between! 

The card base is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  I rounded all the corners with the Corner Rounder punch.  The Background is stamped with En Frances.  I inked with Summer Starfruit ink and stamped off to soften the background, then stamped on my card base. 

The Basic Gray strip is 2 X 5 1/2, Whisper White strip 1 3/4 X 5 1/2.  I embossed the Whisper White with the Fancy Fan embossing folder and adhered to the Basic Gray.  A strip of Basic Gray 1/4 Stitched Grosgrain ribbon was tied around the two and adhered to the card base.  I stamped the Sentiment from Pursuit of Happiness in Basic Gray.

I then added the flowers.  I used a Glue Dot between each layer, added a Basic Pearl or Rhinestone and then used another Glue Dot to position on the strip.
