More Tranquil Textures....and a Matching Bag

I used the Old Tear and Turn Technique on this card front.  Balmy Blue card base.  One side of the paper looks like water, the other multi colored bubbles. Cut your paper 5 1/4 X 4 and Tear!

I flipped the larger piece over and used Tombow to adhere to the card base.

Never Fear the Gap will be covered.  I cut this wavy piece and glued down around the edges.  This allowed me to tuck some of the Seas Grass and the Heron in the ripples.

My Template stored in my stamp case made lining up and stamping the Heron a cinch!  You can see my Grid paper in the Stamparatus is MUCH loved!!  This Tool is amazing!!

Tranquil Textures Paper meets Gallery Grunge

The Bubble Texture in Gallery Grunge almost matches a Paper pattern from Tranquil Textures.  Coordination is such a GREAT feature of Stampin' Up Products.  But then I saw this paper pattern and loved the Reflection look so paired it with the Bubbles.  Only a few days left to Buy 3 Get 1 Paper FREE!!

Soft Seafoam card base, Tranquil Tide mat, Soft Seafoam ink for the Bubbles and Tranquil Tide ink for the Sentiment.  The Heron is Gray Granite ink on Gray Granite card stock.  Framelits cut the wisps of Sea Grass in both colors.

I trimmed off one end of the Sentiment and lined up with the card edge.  Love this Stamp set and THIS Sentiment.

Happy Birthday Tufted

Gallery Grunge has 2 more stamps, today I am using this Diamond looking image as a background.  Same stamp, 3 colors, Poppy Parade, Pineapple Punch and Balmy Blue.  Not really the Depth of Field technique as the images barely overlap, but once I embossed with the Tufted embossing folder the images really pop off the paper.

And the bit of White space really shows off the Tufted folder.  I LOVE this Happy Birthday thinlit.  Perfect for the Outside or Inside of your cards.  A little bit of Tombow adhesive and you are set.

Gallery Grunge

I am still mourning Gorgeous Grunge, but need to move on and today will use 2 stamps from Gallery Grunge and multiple layers to create a Manly Card.  We all need that Manly card and this card can be for Many Occasions.  I used "Thinking of You" from the Rooted In Nature for the sentiment.

Lots of Texture on this card.  Crumb Cake Card base, Whisper White panel stamped with Crumb Cake and Early Expresso ink.  The lined stamp in the bottom corner is the stamp not pictured on the stamp set, so now you can see it in action! 

I used 3 patterns from the Wood Textures paper stack.  Embossed the side piece with the Woodland embossing folder.  Cut a Circle to give nice texture behind the sentiment and cut a Tree with another pattern.

Southern Serenade Lace

I had to re-visit this stamp set as I had not noticed the strip of LACE and what better way to use this stamp than with the Stamparatus!

I cut the Largest Square and used the Stamparatus to stamp, turning my paper.  I then sponged the edges with more Crumb Cake ink and adhered to a Early Expresso Scalloped Square.  Love these Layering Square Framelits!  The Sentiment was stamped in Early Expresso ink. 

I used Petal Pink ink on Petal Pink card stock for the Lace Background.  Crumb Cake card base and an Early Expresso mat.  Notice where I cut my Scalloped Square!!  Linen Thread to tie it all together.

Artisan Textures

This is a MUST HAVE Texture stamp set and today I am going to attempt the "Depth of Field" Technique with 4 different stamps and 4 ink colors.  Large image lightest ink color and work my way to Dark and Small.  Love how this turned out!!!

Gray Granite card base and a Balmy Blue mat.  I stamped the Largest Splotch tone on tone with Balmy Blue ink.  Smaller Splotch with Crumb Cake.  Dotted Splotch with Gray Granite and the Wavy Lines with Pacific Point.

The Heron was stamped with Gray Granite ink on Gray Granite card stock and cut out with the matching Framelits.  I cut a So Saffron Circle and embossed with the NEW SUBTLE embossing folder.  Sponged a bit of Gray Granite around the edges.  The Sentiment was stamped in Black and cut with a Framelit. And LOVE the inside remainder of the Sentiment.

Depth of Field?

Ok I know my Title is confusing.....and I will post a picture of the inspiration card at the end of this post....but here is the story.  Someone on the Stampin' Up Demo sight posted a card and asked what Technique was used.  And as always very helpful Demonstrators answered the question!!  I am so lucky to have the resource of 1,000's of Demos to ask questions!!  Join my Team for $99 and enjoy this benefit!

LOVE the Depth and Texture with this Technique!

I used Abstract Impressions, Great Flower images for RANDOM stamping.  I did the entire card front today and added to a Grapefruit Grove card base.  I added the Dotted Ribbon and 1/8 Grapefruit Grove ribbon, then Popped up a sentiment.  These backgrounds would be great to have on hand to add a Sentiment for ANY Occasion!  I used Petal Pink , Flirty Flamingo and Grapefruit Grove.  I did full strength and stamped off so it appears to be 5 colors, but is really only 3.

Can you SEE what the Technique is now?  Really pretty simple, you pick a stamp you can "Random" stamp with, 3-4 ink colors and get to stamping!  Start with the Lightest ink color FIRST and then move on to the next darkest, saving the darkest for last.  This is what creates the DEPTH of Your FIELD of stamping!!  WOW, I think I like this and will go crazy for a day or TWO.  I LOVE when a OLD Technique seems new and the creatives juices begin to flow!

Textures and Background with Southern Serenade

This week I will be featuring Texture, using stamps sets for Backgrounds, Spotlights and adding Depth to your cards. The Lace in this Stamp set is Stunning and what better color to use than Highland Heather!

Highland Heather is a NEW color and a NEW ink pad, so it is juicy!!  I should have stamped off, but I do like the look of this image whether Crisp or muddled.  I stamped the Flower image on a Stitched Oval in Pear Pizzazz.  Then colored with an Aqua Painter with Pear Pizzazz, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape inks. 

I added Rhinestones to the Flower Centers and stamped the Sentiment on Gorgeous Grape and Flagged the end.  The Oval is popped up on the card front.

The Basket is 3 1/2 X 2 3/4 and 2 3/4 deep.  And see the texture, so CUTE!!  You get 4 of these in the kit.  And 12 Notes cards, 4 of each color.

And here is the Top view after I added the Gingham paper.  You get 4 sheets of Red, Green and Blue, so lots of this paper left to cut up for other projects!

The 3X3 note cards are adorable.  I made this one pretty much per the instructions.  There is a stitch stamp, I inked with the Soft Suede spot in the kit and stitched!  Used the Glue Dots in the kit to adhere the vellum.  Added the pre-cut Strawberry and leaf.  You get lots of Banners to use for the Sentiment and mini dimensionals to pop it up.

The envelope is pre stamped with the Gingham in Red, Green or Blue.  And the outside of the envelope is pre-stamped and waiting for you to add a sentiment or write a person's name!

And here is my Alternative card.  A Crumb Cake card base was on my desk, so I cut the Green paper 3 X 5 1/2 and used glue dots to adhere.  I used the Basket Weave stamp to add a border.  Grabbed a Doily and then used the Pre-cut Fruit and a sentiment.  This Granny Apple Green ribbon really finished this card!
