Scrapbook Pages with the Stamparatus

Wow it has been a long time since I did a page layout.  But this stamp from Gallery Grunge and The Rooted with Nature really inspired me to make some pages remembering my Dad.  Dad was an avid Horse Shoe Pitcher and one of his last Bucket List Journeys was to the Horse Shoe Hall of Fame in Wentzville Mo.  He has a Memorial Brick there, I really need to make that journey again and get a picture of His Brick.

I used the Stamparatus and added more of the Wood Chevron pattern to the page I showed yesterday.  Using Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Early Expresso inks.  The Wood Textures paper really goes well with these stamp sets.  I used a Sponge and ink to Grunge up the edges of the paper.

I added a 6 X 6 piece of the Wood Textures behind this picture.  This museum is really nice and has lots of indoor Horseshoe courts.  My Dad always wanted to Win the Lottery and Build an Indoor Court in Illinois so he could pitch ALL year long!

On this page I used a 12 X 12 paper from Nature's Poem Designer paper.  Beautiful paper for Fall layouts and Card making.  After my Dad Retired in 1984, my parents traveled to many Tournaments in Iowa, Minnesota and Illinois.  Dad pitched in the H Class and had many Trophies. 

I love how the elements from Rooted in Nature can be used to embellish a page.  Dad really worked hard on the Galesburg, Illinois courts and his Club hosted the State Tournament in 1991.  Sadly those courts are empty today.
