Stitch in the Ditch!

Did your Home Ec teacher say this?  Mine did and for some reason it popped in my Head today while using this Stamp set.  Do they even have Home Economics these days?  Back in MY DAY 1972-1975 they let "GUYS" take Home Ec!!  WOW that was a BIG DEAL in my Little Illinois town!!

I promised some Hinge stamping and here we go with stitching cause I am full of ideas for this stamp set!!!

Ok lots of pictures to follow, I hope you can get the idea of how this works.  It was a Happy Accident that I was able to use 3 different colors and have them ALL be a full image.  I love it when a not so well hatched plan WORKS!!!

First push your mat up against the edge and place your stamp.  Pick up the stamp with the Plate, ink the stamp and stamp.  Move the plate down a hinge and repeat.

Keep stepping down a hinge and stamp.  You will need to move you magnet out of the way when you get to the bottom hinge.

Clean your stamp, re-position on your project, ink and stamp again.

Add as many colors as you have room....or plan ahead and use the grid lines on the plate to determine how many images will fit.  With the Stamparatus your stamp will be the perfect position every time!  The magnets are SO strong, your paper stays in place!

I added 1 more color, and here is the finished panel.  Balmy Blue, Mango Melody and Pineapple Punch.  Now I am ready to STITCH in the DITCH! Sorry I forgot to take a picture of this process,  But it was super simple because your stamps give you a straight line to lay your stitch thinlit on.

You can see the stitching on this close up.  I chose to go every 2 images since I was also using the Ruffled embossing folder.  Love this color combo and the Circle Sentiment!
