Flip with a Flap!!

I love the new Thinlits and one concern from customers has been "where do I write a note"?  My mind has been twirling trying to figure out a solution and before I could try my idea the Stampin' Forum had a fix.  It was pretty much what I had thought, but now I did not have to sacrifice a piece of cardstock in vain!
Instead of cutting a piece of 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock in half, cut it at 5 1/4, slightly smaller than the thinlit.  This allows you to pull the long end of the cardstock up thru the thinlit and sit on top.  So you are actually not cutting anything but the circle and scoring the card with the thinlit.  Fold in the Flap, you can mark the circle and punch or use the thinlit to notch the circle.  I hope the pictures explain this better!!

I stamped Magnificent Maple leaves in Cajun Craze,  Early Expresso and Crumb cake.  Grunge background in Pool Party, Cajun Craze and Crumb cake.  I embossed the entire card with the Wood Grain Embossing folder.  Probably should have just embossed the front so it would be easier to right on the flap.  But can't take it back now!  Ha!

The sentiment from Wetlands is stamped on Natural White card stock and punched with the Scalloped Oval punch and layered on a Xlarge Oval punch of Cajun Craze.
