Fishin' Around

I missed a day, but I was Fishin'........I have struggled making this card and kept moving the post, I forgot to emboss the Marina Mist panel!  But I have to move on, so the fishin' must take a break!  Now that I have had a dry run, I will post a different version in a few days.  But in the mean time here is a first attempt.  This Single Wood stamp is perfect for the round treat cups.  I chose to use a plastic bag and hair gel for a watery bowl.  The card base is Crumb Cake stamped with some Early Expresso Gorgeous Grunge.  I am loving this grunge, gives such a nice subtle background.

I embossed some Early Expresso Core'dinations card stock with the Wood Grain embossing folder and adhered to the bottom of the card.  The Fish Bowl was stamped in Marina Mist ink on Whisper White card stock big enough to accommodate your bag of gel.  I colored with Markers and then layered the bag of gel using tape runner.  I then added a stampin dimensional to each corner.  I cut the Marina Mist card stock large enough to cover the gel.  I stamped the Image again in Marina Mist and then punched out the center with the 1 3/4 circle punch.  The sentiment was stamped in Early Expresso and then I should of embossed!!  But I forgot and next thing you know it was STUCK!  Oh well, next card I promise!  I then used Tombow multi to adhere the panel to the card front.

Wetlands

I love the look of this new stamp set and the color combo used in the Big catalog inspired this card.  I like how the new book identifies the colors so there is no guess work! 

I stamped directly on Naturals White card stock, NO layers, NO embellishments!  The picture does not do it justice. 

How'd I do it.....easy.  Inked up the Summer Starfruit ink on the sea oats and stamped once, twice and the third, much lighter.  These juicy ink pads really hold the ink!  I then stamped the birds in Night of Navy.  I then colored just the grass under the goose with a crumb cake marker and filled in to create a horizon.  The rest is sponging.  Marina Mist first, Rich Razzleberry and a bit of Crumb Cake.  The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy.

Zoo Babies

 

 

 

 

Zoo Babies makes a perfect Baby card or a cute Birthday card!  I saw this stamp stacked and had to try it.  The card base is Whisper White.  I cut a piece of Neutrals Basic Gray Designer paper

3 X 5 1/2,  the Crushed Curry 1 1/2 X 5 1/2, and Baked Brown Sugar 1 X 5 1/2.  The Elephant is stamped in Basic Gray, Giraffe in Baked Brown Sugar and the Toucan in Crushed Curry.  I added a Rhinestone for a twinkle in the eyes of each animal.  The Crushed Curry is embossed with the Delicate designs bunting folder and the Baked Brown Sugar with the Hearts folder from Adorning accents.  The sentiment is cropped with the Bitty Banners Framelit and anchored by 2 of our new Candy Dots!  Love them!!

4th of July is right around the corner and I wanted to make some Patriotic cards.  This stamp set says it all and I included the words on a Real Red Background embossed with the Stripes embossing folder.  The words were stamped in Night of Navy along with the stars.  So easy to cut out and pop up on the Naturals White card base

Red White and Boom!!

I wanted to use the new Stars stamps and did not realize the Star punches are both retired!  I have them and I think many of my customers do as well.  But even so stars are very easy to fussy cut on your own! 

I used the Stripes embossing folder and some Red ink to create the Red and White stripes on this Whisper White mat. 

A Night of Navy mat was added and adhered to the Whisper White card base.  Stars were stamped in Night of Navy ink and cut out and popped up.  Celebrate from Sketched Birthday was cut with the Bitty Banner Framelits and anchored with 2 red Candy Dots.  Perfect card for the 4th or a July Birthday!

Bombs Away Birthday

 

This is a Photo polymer stamp set, available for a limited time.  SU is trying a different medium and I like it.  Red Rubber cannot be beat, but I love the semi-snarky sentiments that come with the bombs.  Perfect for a few of my co-workers!! 

 

 

This card is pretty simple, a Naturals White card base stamped with Real Red ink.  I stamped an extra bomb and cut it out to pop up.  The splatters are stamped in Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.  The sentiment was stamped in Stazon Black and cropped with an Apothecary Accent Framelit..

Coffee & Friends Version 2

Sketched Birthday

I love a Good Birthday set and the new Catalog has several and the sketching in this set is fabulous!!

Do you see the Floral Framelit from yesterday's card?  I love the subtle frame this Flower provides and it perfectly matches the candle colored in So Saffron.  I added some Real Red frosting and a Real Red background embossed with the Argyle embossing folder.  The sentiments in this set match the Bitty Banner Framelits, so it was a cinch to stamp and cut out both sentiments.  Super Simple card and a great Stamp a Stack card for next month July 13th!

Clay Molds!!

I have waited to try out the clay when I had time to explore!  I spent most of the day Saturday playing in my craft room and love the results!

My first attempt was with the Flower molds, amazing detail!  I tore off a clump of clay and added 2 drops of Daffodil Delight re-inker.  The colors in this cards are SO Saffron and Pear Pizazz, but the flowers still blend.  That is what I love about Stampin' Up all the colors blend and match and make creating so EASY!!

I am starting to work on swaps for Convention in July and wanting to maximize my paper use, so here is a clever idea to make 18 cards from one sheet of 12X12 paper!!  Mind you, not the whole card, but the Designer paper part.  Always think before you cut to make the most of your products!  I am guilty of forgetting, so really trying to plan better!

I am using the negative image from the Floral Frames framelits flower on this card.  Two different Designer series papers were  used.  Cut your paper 4 X 4 and center the Frame.  You will see the Flower image on tomorrows Birthday card!  "Afternoon Picnic" has some Roses I wanted to use to match the clay mold Rose.  "I Am Me" had the So Saffron muted print.  Perfect match even tho the yellow in Afternoon Picnic is Crushed Curry?  And my Clay flowers are Daffodil Delight, shades that blend well together!

The So Saffron card base was stamped across the bottom with Background Builders in So Saffron ink.  The Negative Image was centered and adhered to the card base.  I them ran the entire card front thru the Big Shot with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder.  I then used the same Framelit to cut the same flower from Afternoon Picnic, then another flower with the smaller Flower framelit.  I scrunched these flowers and use glue dots to adhere.  The Clay Mold Rose was adhered with Tombow multi adhesive. 

I then added sticky strip to the gap between dsp and the border.  I scrunched Pear Pizazz Taffeta ribbon along this line.  The Sentiment from Pennant Parade was stamped in Pear Pizazz ink on Pear Pizazz card stock and punched with the Mosaic punch and popped up over the ribbon.

Rev it up.......

The minute I saw this stamp set in the Big Book, I knew I wanted it.  Great images for Man cards!!

I did use some larger splotches from Gorgeous Grunge.

Another great set to add controlled texture to you projects without having to make spritzers with every color, simply clean your stamp and STAMP on....!!!
The card base is Smoky Slate, Splotches Smokey Slate.  The Sentiment and tire tracks were stamped with Basic Gray ink.  Motorcycle image in Real Red and cut to fit on the Apothecary Accents Basic Black card stock.  This piece is embossed with Modern Mosaic and scruffed with the Distress tool. 
A cute Arrow clip was added for Direction.

Smoky Slate Daffodil Delight

I love this Sentiment and this color combo is Happy!!  The card base is Smoky Slate.  The Daffodil Delight mat is 3 1/4 X 4 3/4.  Whisper White mat 3 X 4 1/2.  The Sentiment from Yippee-Skippee is stamped in Smoky Slate.  Flower Shop provided the Flower images, stamped in Smokey Slate on Whisper White and Daffodil Delight on Daffodil Delight card stock.  A thin strip of slate cardstock is tied thru the Daffodil Delight button.  Daffodil Delight washi tape and some paper piercing finish this all occasion card!

Black and White Chevron Ribbon

My Inspiration for this card is our new Chevron Ribbon.  I only purchased the Black and White, but it comes in 12 yummy colors!  I love the new Chalk Board set and used a sentiment stamped and embossed in White craft ink on Basic Black then punched with the 1 3/8 Circle punch.  The Monarch from Best of Butterflies was embossed and cut out.  The Apothecary framelit gives a nice backdrop for the Butterfly, with the scruffed edges.  The Basic Black card stock is embossed with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder.  The card base is Naturals White and the Dictionary Background stamp was stamped with Black Stazon ink.  The Ribbon is frayed for more texture.  This card is going to be one of my Swaps for Convention.  You can make them at the next Stamp A Stack July 13th!

Butterfly Wheel meets Border

Still playing with the new Stretch Ribbon, this time in Coastal Cabana.  I want to add it to everything, but need to move on.......maybe tomorrow!!

I used the new Butterfly Collection Wheel in Daffodil Delight ink on Whisper White card stock.   Punched out one image with the Bitty Butterfly punch.  The matching Butterfly from Papillon Potpourri was stamped in Coastal Cabana.  The Coastal Cabana Designer paper was embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.  Background Builders was used as the bottom border and stamped in Crumb Cake.  Love from Best of Love set was layered on top with Early Expresso ink.  Coastal Cabana stretch ribbon adds a lovely ruffle to this happy card.

Happy Father's Day Dad

I love this stamp!!  Caffeine drinkers Unite!!

Ruffled Dress

My inspiration for this card is the new Stretch Ruffled trim.  Love it and the other 2 colors are coming in the next shipment.....

Maybe a few too many patterns going on, but the NEW stuff is surrounding me and I want to use it ALL!!  This card uses Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar.  The Chevron Pattern Dress is paper from the IN Color patterned designer paper stack.  The background is Baked Brown Sugar embossed with the NEW Beautifully Baroque embossing folder.  I cut a piece of Whisper White with the Apothecary framelit and embossed with the Baroque folder. 

The Dress form uses the Natural Composition Specialty paper which blends great with the Baked Brown Sugar.  I used snail adhesive on the dress skirt and layered the pieces of Stretch trim.  It is so easy to trim your edges and the adhesive gives you the freedom to re-position if needed.  The Sentiment is from Chalk Talk and punched with the 1 1/4 circle punch, nestled in the 1 3/8 Crisp Cantaloupe circle.  Love this trim and can't wait to have all 5 colors!!

Hexagon Thanks

I made 2 versions of this card using the Hexagon punch and Hexagon Embossing folder.  The Larger Hexagons were punched from the IN Color designer paper stack.  I adhered them randomly and then embossed.  The new Six Sided Sampler provides 8 different Hexagon images that fit perfectly in the Hexagon punch.  I stamped the Hex in Baked Brown Sugar and the sentiment in Coastal Cabana.  This Hexagon was popped up over some of the new Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch trim.  I must admit I was not too sure about this ribbon, but once I used it I want every color.  The stretch makes it so easy to work with!  The final accent is a new Coastal cabana button.

 

On version 2, I stamped freehand and did not use a stamp a ma jig.  I think next time I will punch some Hexagons and use those as a guide.  I do like the random look of all the mixed IN Colors and different patterns of the stamps.  I again embossed with the Hexagon embossing folder and added 3 IN Colors of the stretch ruffled trim.  Love this look and inspired me for tomorrows card!

Chalk Talk

This card features the Chalk Talk stamp set and a new core color Smoky Slate.  I always wanted a paler shade of gray to pair with Basic Gray!  The card base is Smoky Slate and the Decorative Label punch.  I layered a mat of Basic Black.  The Whisper White layer is 5 X 3 3/4.  I stamped the image from Chalk Talk with Basic Gray ink, then embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.  The Sentiment from Chalk Talk was stamped with White Craft ink on Basic Black card stock and punched with the XLarge Oval punch.  Basic Gray Stitched ribbon was tied around the black and white layer then adhered to the card base.  3 Rhinestones add some sparkle!

Soho Cupcake

I combined old and new on this card.  If you did not get any of this Flower Trim ribbon, I apologize.  This ribbon is so fun and make some great frosting for a cupcake.  I keep hoping there will be a comeback announcement, but none so far.  But this card will be available to make at Stamp a Stack!!

The Crumb Cake card base is embossed with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder.....are you seeing a theme here....This folder is a must have!!  Soho paper was cropped with an Apothecary Accents framelit.  The cupcake base is a piece of Naturals Composition Specialty paper.  Frosting.... our beloved ribbon and a Banner stamped in Island Indigo and cut out from a Hostess set  Banner Greetings.

Soho Subway Birthday

This card uses lots of new stuff and the Mosaic embossing folder I showed you yesterday.  This embossing folder begs to be sanded!  Soho Subway designer paper is subtle yet bold, and a go to neutral. Love the splash of the new IN Color Crisp Cantaloupe!  Other colors in this paper, Summer Starfruit, Early Expresso, Island Indigo and Very Vanilla.  The paper is shaded so colors vary in depth and saturation.
 
I chose the numbers paper since I wanted to make a Birthday card.  The Early Expresso core'dinations was embossed with the Mosaic folder then lightly sanded.  2 ribbon strips of Crisp Cantaloupe were punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch and adhered to the Soho paper.  Then layered and framed on a Very Vanilla card base.
 
The Sentiment from Label Love was stamped in Island Indigo and punched with the matching punch.  One of our new Very Vintage Designer Buttons was threaded with a thin strip of Crisp Cantaloupe card stock.  Perfect accent for a lovely card!  Switch up the ribbon border to Island Indigo and the card takes on a masculine look.
