Country Flowers

 Since I used Retired items on yesterdays Blog.......TODAY you get some NEW things!  Country Flowers is a great fit for ALL Occasion cards.  The Font for the Sentiments is stunning!  And I LOVE to color!!


The Dotted background is left over from a Paper Pumpkin kit or Retired Designer paper.  I coordinated card bases with Blends colors used for the images.  


LOVE these Radiating Stitch Dies!!  Just that little border gives a very rich look to your projects.  I cut lots of Dies at a time so I can grab and go!  This also helps me not waste paper!  Dies cutting the entire sheet keeps those scraps under control! 


Next time I will use the matching Dies for the Country Flowers Bundle.  Love this plant image!

Coloring Coasters

 Coloring Coasters can be very relaxing for me.  I need to lose myself in an activity these past few weeks to take my mind off missing my Snoopy.  So coloring is a welcome distraction.  Crafting is a great outlet when we need to De-stress.  I hope everyone has something that gives them JOY and helps with the hard times we all encounter in life.



Stampin' Blends markers are the perfect tool for coasters.  Alcohol Markers dry fast and Blend for easy shading.  The Coaster surface variations accept the color in different ways so be prepared for different looks on every Coaster.....I mean they are original in that way.  I start with the lightest colors first and then add in the dark.   Old Olive Light and Dark, Pumpkin Pie Dark, Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake.


The Purple Tones tend to really soak into the Coaster.  Highland Heather Light and Rich Razzleberry Light give an almost Real Vibe to this Coneflower.

Today's Project.....Coasters

Time to make the Coasters!!  It is a process and I want these ready by Saturday for the Market!


Step 1   Wipe your tile down with a lightly dampened towel to remove the dust.  Let dry, I turn on my kitchen ceiling fan to help with this step.  

Step 2  Choose stamps that fill a good portion of a 4X4 square. 
Red Rubber stamps work the best!  Choose stamps with Line images that are easy to color!
 

Step 3   Listen to your tile....these tiles are natural stone and have imperfections.  Try to save your smooth tiles for more detailed stamps and the others for stamps that can hide the imperfections.



Step 4   Ink with Stazon ink and Stamp with even pressure.  Pull stamp off quickly to avoid smears. Let dry at least a day before you start to color!!  If really humid weather, WAIT for a dry day to stamp as the Stazon may bleed into the Coaster.

True Love Spotlight

 Taking a Break from the Red today and using the True Love paper for an ALL Occasion card.  I chose a Crumb Cake card base for a Natural feel.  My Scrap of the Floral pattern side of this True Love paper was begging to be colored.


This paper has so much character and natural shading, all you do is add COLOR!  I used Light Daffodil Delight and Light Flirty Flamingo Blends for the flowers.  Light and Dark Old Olive and the Color lifter to give some even lighter areas on the leaves.  A slice of Daffodil Delight card stock really pops this Spotlight of flowers off the card!
