Frosty the Snowman Gift Box

This Cocoa Snowman Gift box is so cute!!  A great way to use a few punches and end up with an adorable gift!!

The nose of this snowman is a tea light!  I left the back accessable to flip the switch!  Fill this box with cocoa fixin's or any small gift.  The weight of the gift will keep your snowman from tipping forward!!

Now for the details:  I used the Fancy Favor Bigz XL die to create the box.  This die is amazing, I used 1/2 a sheet of Real Red cardstock, cut length ways, just enough to cover the die and cut this box.  The fancy edge is not needed and helps conserve on your cardstock, so 2 boxes from (1) 8 1/2 X 11 sheet!!
It comes out all scored and ready to fold and decorate!  I punched a 2 1/2 circle punch of Whisper White card stock and adhered to one of the large sides of the box.  Add sticky strip to the scored flap.  Punch 2 black coals with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack.  Adhere with glue dots.
To decorate the tea light I used the Xlarge Oval punch in Gumball Green, cut in half for the hat base.  The Scallop Oval punch cut in half and trimmed for a hat brim.  And the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch for the pom pom.  The Gumball Greem hat piece was run thru the Argyle Embossing folder for some texture, glue on the brim and pom pom.  Use 2 glue dots on the brim and stick to the tea light( make sure your switch is at the top of the snowman head)!!!
For the coal eyes and mouth , I colored Rhinstone Basic Jewels with a black sharpie!  Hit them with the heat gun and WaLa!!  Black jewels! With adhesive for easy attachment!
Fold your box and add sticky strip as shown in the below picture to finish your box.

I then added three small strip of sticky strip to the back of the tea light, making sure the switch is at the top for easy access.  Remove protective tape and adhere to bag, making sure your Snowman's head is on straight!!
I then added some of our Sweater Trim for the scarf.  I wrapped it around twice and tied a knot.  Add your cocoa, candy canes and a Treat tube of marshmallows.  Frosty is ready to go!  How cute is this!!

Simple Cocoa Card

This Cocoa card is very simple and would make perfect co-worker or student gifts! Probably not a candidate to mail unless slipped into a larger package
.
I used a standard 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 card base.  Score and fold in half.  Cut a piece of Designer paper
5 1/4 X 4.  Fold down the corner as shown and crease.  Cut your piece of designer paper to fit at an angle.

I flipped my piece to show both sides!  Using White Craft ink and White Embossing powder, I stamped the steam from Sentsational Season on the top piece of Designer paper.  Adhere both pieces of the designer paper to your card.  Use Sticky strip and line the bottom and side of your card to the point of the fold.

Make sure your side piece does not extend past your fold, or you will have a sticky situation!  =)  Remove the protective covering and stick down!  This creates a cozy pouch for your cocoa.  Standard sizes cocoa fits as well as Land O Lakes taller packages.

Take a scrap of Cherry Cobbler and stamp the cocoa cup from Scentsational Season with White Craft Ink and emboss with White embossing powder.  Cut out the cup using Holiday Collection Framelits and punch a hole in the handle.  I then gathered a scrap of Cherry Cobbler tulle and tied it to the handle with Cherry Cobbler bakers twine.  A mini candy cane would look cute here also, but I forgot to buy those!!  Pop your cup up with Stampin' dimensionals and line it up with your steam.  I then added a Basic Rhinestone Jewel for some bling!
