#Simplestamping Masking

This journey of #Simplestamping week has helped me discover an old technique MASKING!  Masking is an easy and simple way to add dimension to your cards.

I stamped the Truck and then roughly cut it out for the MASK.   I was using the MASK to add Trees behind the truck so I only trimmed the top of the Mask.  Keep your Masks in the stamp case for future use!

Then stamped the Truck again on the Circle of Whisper White card stock.  Added the Mask to cover this image and then stamped the Trees.  Look how the Trees  appear to be BEHIND the truck!!  I colored the truck with Wink of Stella and Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Gray Granite ink from the ink pads.  Added a Cherry Cobbler Circle behind the image.  Gray Granite card base and a 4X4 piece of Festive Farmhouse Designer paper.  Sentiment stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  What a Cute and Cozy card!  I am seeing these Trucks everywhere this year in Home Decor
