It's All about the Birthdays!!

The new Occasions catty is filled with Birthday stamp sets and embellishments!  So many options and so little time.  This week I will show you a Birthday card every day using New Occasions catty and Sale-a-bration product.  Hang on to your hats, these new products will BLOW you away!  We need Birthday cards all year long, so make a stack and be ready for all those Special Days in your life.

I am starting BIG with the new "Party Pop Up Thinlits" and the "Balloon Punch Bundle".  These are amazing and much easier to use than I anticipated!!  I used my Magnetic platform and regular cutting plates, ran the Die back and forth a few times and this Die cut like butter!! 
But I will advise that bowed cutting plates may not give the best results.  Turn your plates often and leave them in your sandwich resting in the BIG Shot when not in use.  This pressure helps flatten the plates while you go about your normal life!! And new plates are only $11.00 on page 170.  Item 113475.
Consider getting a new set of cutting plates and use then exclusively for Framelet and Thinlit cutting. 
And the new DIE Brush is amazing!  Really helps get those tiny pieces to release and less time poking!  And this DIE leaves behind nice confetti to use on your cards.

My Balloon placement could have been better, but I will practice!  Love the Twine and I added this before I glued down the inside card stock.  Balloons need to be stamped on a strip of paper to minimize waste when punching.

I used the Washi tape on the edges for decoration, but should have trimmed the cardstock 1/4 inch shorter so the Tape would have been on top of the Mint Macaron only.  I stamped some random stars and added a sentiment. 

Love the inside and outside!!  A trick with these dies is to lightly score your card base, the arrows on the die give you a guide to center in your card.  Cut and then gently fold on the score lines and glue down one side at a time so you can adjust your card stock and prevent slipping.  I did poke holes and tie the twine thru my card before I glued down the inside.  But you could always use a glue dot and add the Balloon Tie to the card front last.
