Birthday Cards for Days......

Time to button up the Holiday cards and go for our next catalog reveal on January 6th.  Yes right around the corner and this year Sale-a-bration and the Occaasions catty start the same day!  I can hardly wait!!  And the Birthday options in this catty are to die for and the SAB set is not shabby either.  I have paired lots of new items with the SAB set "Big Day". 

Perfect for using our new Chalk board paper and Chalk inks.  I used Aquamarine and Yellow Citrus chalk ink.  Our Chalkboard paper is 6 X 12, so perfect to run thru the Big Shot and used Square and Chalk Talk Framelits.  I will caution you to use clean plates.  The Chalkboard paper picked up some glitter and paper pieces from my well used plates.  But I still love the look and did not heat set my ink, it seemed to dry fine on its own. 

Calypso Coral Pompom trim and Bermuda Bay Sequin trim add just the right amount of bling to this card.  The card base is Crisp Cantaloupe with a Soft Sky mat.  Sweet Dreams Washi tape embossed with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder makes a fun background.  I added a Lost Lagoon Tab on either end to add a pop of color under the Chalk pieces. 

In the close up you can see some of my plate residue that stuck to the Chalkboard paper.  I was able to brush off most of it, but next time will clean my plates or maybe add a piece of wax paper.
