Setting Up House

Today I colored the set of Birdhouses with Water Color pencils on Very Vanilla card stock.  These pencils are awesome and give you true Stampin' Up colors!! I used a Blender pen to blend and Wink of Stella for some shine!

I used a Mask and Pacific Point ink sponged to get the back ground.  The Houses were backed with Basic Black.  The sentiment is from Bird Banter and cut out with a framelit from Petals & More.  I cropped off the end and adhered to the card base.

Birds make such adorable Spring cards......hang in there Spring will be here soon!  Sign up for a class and make this card.  For dates and classes check my website:  www.kathyswanson.stampinup.net

Powder Pink Petal Passion

Today's card uses the same basic design as yesterday, but a few added elements.  I took the Petal Passion paper piece and added a WASH of color.  Powder Pink ink was lifted from the Ink pad lid with an Aqua painter and washed over the paper.  Just a light wash of color can really add interest to this Black & White paper.  Let the paper dry and a light press under a heavy object will help flatten the paper.

I added a Black mat and adhered to a Powder Pink card base.  Congrats Sentiment is from this amazing Petal Palette Bundle.  I cut out the filigree element in Basic Black and stamped the Roses on Powder Pink with Stazon Black ink and cut out with the framelits.

I colored the Roses with the Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzazz watercolor pencils.  I then used the Wink of Stella to blend and add SHINE!  These elements were popped up in the corner of the card.

Winter Watercolor

Today was the perfect day to pull out the NEW Watercolor pencils and color. Of course I picked a Merry Mouse and used some of the Helpful hints in the Stampin' Up video.  Watch and enjoy! The Watercolor pencils will be available January 4th.

https://youtu.be/HYJbjDT--hY

And here is my card.  Used the wash technique on this card.  I stamped the Mouse in Stazon Black on a Piece of Water color paper.  Started by coloring circles around the image and then blending with the Aqua Painter.  Love this look!!  Then I colored with the pencils and blended lightly for the rest of the image.  Wink of Stella Gold on the Hymn book and Clear on the Hat.  All matted on a Snowy Background of Gorgeous Grunge flakes and Softly Falling embossing on Night of Navy.  Banners are from "This Christmas" Specialty paper in the Annual Catalog.

I thought the Music notes was a fitting banner!!

I also rounded the corners on the Mouse.

All it takes is a TOAD......

Remember that Toads Adorable card from convention?  That Toad is the reason I took another look at "You're Sublime" and added this set to my order.  This little flower wheel barrow begged to be colored and I finally cleared my table and made a card!  I also used a few NEW HOLIDAY catalog items on this card.

This new embossing folder is called Softly Falling and is 6X6 so you can actually use it on a landscape card and it will look like snow falling.  I used it the opposite way to add some depth to this Daffodil Delight card base.  The Wheel Barrow was stamped on Water Color paper and colored with the aqua painters and ink from the lid of the stamp pads.  Soft Sky, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Delightful Dijon, Perfect Plum and Rich Razzleberry.  Mounted on a Soft Sky mat and a smidge of the NEW "Into the Woods" 3/8 inch cotton ribbon.  Yummy ribbon, only in Rich Razzleberry, but when you see this suite of FALL products you will want it all.  More to come stay tuned!  Once I start to color it is hard to stop!

You're Sublime  138732 $27.00 Wood,  139309 Clear $19.00

Timeless Elegance Soft Colors

I love this paper, can you tell?  I would advise using sponge daubers on these more intricate flowers or even use the watercolor tool or a blender pen for detailed coloring.  My example has a few flaws, but by embossing with the Brick Wall embossing folder this paper reminds me of Wild rambling Roses.  I used Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz inks.  The leaves and sentiment  are from Birthday Blossoms and stamped in Pear Pizzazz.  Lots of Labels Framelits and 2 candy dots finish this clean and simple card.  Who would know this piece of paper came from a Very Vanilla and Basic Black pack of paper?

Ingredients:

Timeless Elegance Designer paper  138444  $11.00
Lots of Labels Framelits  138281  $27.00
Brick Wall embossing folder  138288  $8.50
Birthday Blossoms  139471 Clear  $19.00,  139167 Wood  $27.00

Delightful Dijon WIngs

This is my favorite and really shows the watercolor look you can achieve with this stamp set.  The background paper is from the 2015-17 IN Color paper stack.  Love this pattern and it is embossed with Fluttering!  Butterflies are stamped in Delightful Dijon and Smoky Slate.  I used both sets of Framelits to cut out and more Silver Thread and a few Rhinestones.  No sentiment needed on this one, pick a positive word from the back gound paper!

Ingredients:

Watercolor Wings bundle  140232  $36.50

Butterflies Thinlits 137360  $25.00  These really do work well together!

Watercolor Wings and Fluttering Embossing folder

On this winged card I use the Framelits and the Fluttering embossing folder.  Love all these products!!

Watercolor Wings Basic

Do you need another Butterfly set?  More Framelits?  Absolutely!  The next 3 days I will show you why, and these butterflies coordinate with BOTH Framelit sets!  The 2 step stamping gives an effortless watercolor look.  Amazing combos of color await your imagination.  I used Mint Macaron and Smoky Slate to create these Moths.  Love this combo.  Added some dots from the stamp set in Mint Macaron.  The sentiment was stamped on Mint Macaron and punched with the new Wahsi Label punch.  Simple one layer card.
