The Last day of August was a beautiful Day and without My Market I ventured out with Friends to the Overland Park and Brookside Farmer's Markets. OP was amazing with lots of vendors from the Farm Tour and so many more! The Food vendors had long lines and the Produce was varied and gorgeous. The Bagel line was crazy and last night I was dreaming about Bagels!! Here are my purchases.
Kale...wow this kale is gorgeous!
Sweet Stream Lavender, I have used this Lip Balm before and will keep this in my nightstand.
Mushrooms, this guy had many varieties and these will be in a Stir Fry today! Notice the GREEN arrow to Return this container! Love this and saw many people returning containers.
Sweet Italian Torpedo Onions reminded me of Scallions.
Shelti Farms Lavender had the most delicious Strawberry Lavender Lemonade. WE sampled and I was tempted to buy the Lavender Syrup but knew the calories would be too much. This farm is out in the Holden area. They are also at the Lee's Summit Market. Eye Pillows, Oils, Teas and more. Check them out!
Zen Donkey Farm out of Lone Jack was at both Markets and I did a Shot of pressed juice. Pineapple, Tumeric, Ginger and Black Pepper. I did not take a picture as you leave the Glass Bottle. It was so good and the Donkey T-shirts were adorable.
And Finally Beets to roast in the oven later this week. I encourage everyone to GET OUT and explore these local Saturday Markets. There is so much to see and your support to LOCAL Vendors is important!
My Craft room is almost functional....drug a Bakers Rack up from the Basement as once again I had to change plans....the Drawers in the dresser were just not deep enough to hold the stamp sets and be able to view all the names. And I decided I wanted them out in full view so the Bakers Rack will be perfect....I hope. I spend way to much time looking for stuff and I'm trying to be organized! LOL!!!
The Dresser will be used for Supplies. Envelopes, Boxes, Embellishments, Paper and Stuff! Hopefully I will have a picture for you on Monday!
