Rain can be Inspirational......

I purchased this Bundle from the Main catalog months ago and am just now inking it up.  All this Rain and Gloom makes me very sleepy....but time to get busy and make some cards!  I am behind on my Thank You cards and the Royals start next week so I need to get back to work!

This set has so many possibilities, today I am going for a darker look.....and using Watercolor paper for the Background.

I sponged the Water color paper with Marina Mist and Dapper Denim ink.  I stamped the Umbrella before I sponged in Stazon Black.  I stamped and cut a Mask to keep from getting color on the Umbrella while I was sponging.  I stamped the sentiment and then spritzed with water.  The water allowed the sponged color to run a bit and spot.  My sponging could have been a bit more solid.....but next time.  Allowed this panel to dry and then added the Peek a Boo Peach striped stamp.

On the card base I stamped the Umbrella in Smoky Slate for a interesting border.  Used the mask again to add the Umbrella handles.  I love the realistic look of these Raindrops!!  I also rounded the corners with the Corner rounder on the Main panel which is popped up on the card base

I did not use the Framelits on this card, but stay tuned!!.
