KC Royals Are WORLD Series Champions!!

I am a few days late with this post, but it has finally SUNK in!!  Driving home tonight from work, I was listening to 610 Sports, The Drive with Danny and Cdot and they were talking ad naseum about the fact that Ned and Dayton BOTH said in their news conference that winning had NOT sunk in yet.  These Radio guys were in a quandary how this could be possible. 

And then it hit me that I was still riding on the HIGH, trolling Facebook every 10 seconds for a tidbit, waiting for anything to make this never end.  And maybe by admitting we were the Champs it would end and I was not quite ready!  I wanted to call the radio and try to explain, but knew I had WAY to much to say.  So I sent them an email and even that was not enough, so you guys get my rant and rave about the BEST year of my life and this City which has risen to this occasion like no other city!!

I took this picture is from the 7th floor of the Office I work in.  How lucky could I be to work here?  Pretty dang lucky!  And it pales to all the pictures out there, but I took it and I was there and I will have this memory to keep me going until next year and yes I BELIEVE we will be here again next year.  I will plan better and I will be in the front dang row somewhere, or pretty close!!  LOL

The walkway I will take to Crown Center tomorrow to get ice cream!  A Friday ritual a couple of my work mates and I have have fallen into.......

The crew that made it to our spot on the Grand Street Bridge at 22nd and Grand.  Due to communication FAILURE in epic proportions our other friends were unable to find us, cross the street or due to travel, bus and parking complications join us.  But we had a great time, the 6 of us.  Carolyn, my Ticket seller friend for 16 years.  Lynn, Melody, Deb and Brooke from work.  I have worked with Lynn almost 20 years!  BLESSED is so many ways!

So until next year we will cherish all these memories, share all the fabulous Knock Knock jokes on Facebook and wear our Royals Blue with pride!  Oh and I still have the ALDS comeback game on DVR with Houston, I guess when I need a fix I can always turn on the TV and get my Boys in Blue fix again and again!
