Bokeh Technique

I have been watching card after card using this technique and finally took the plunge and made a few, so that will be the focus for a few days.  The concept is pretty simple, circles and more circles!  Take a piece of scrap cardstock 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 and punch holes with various circle hole punches making a template.  Make it look like swiss cheese. 

First up is a small rectangle of Whisper White sponged with Bermuda Bay, Tangelo Twist and Perfect Plum.  I was not sure about this color combo, but LOVE the way this card turned out.  Next take the circle template and start with the larger circles.  Lay the template on the sponged colors and sponge Whisper White ink.  Start lighter and as you move the template, move to the smaller circle and sponge heavier.  This technique give a soft glow look to your backgounds. I next stamped the honeycomb background on the Soft Sky panel with Crumb Cake ink and adhered my Bokeh panel.  Inked up the Fern frond with Perfect Plum and stamped over both pieces of card stock.  The card base is Crisp Cantaloupe, sentiment Perfect Plum and Butterfly Tangelo Twist.  The wax paper Butterfly on top softens the Bright Butterfly below.  Pearls add more glow and mimic the circles of the Bokeh pattern.
