Dandelion Wishes

This stamp set has been on my WISH list and it finally arrived!  You want it, trust me!! It also makes amazing Fireworks, I am late for that party, but hey you can Celebrate with Fireworks all year long!  The KC Royals have Fireworks every Friday Home game in the Summer and on the 4th!

My card today is a Wedding card in another NEW Color, Petal Pink!

I started with a Whisper White card base and a Petal Pink 5 1/4 X 4 inch mat.  I stamped the Sentiment and some random Dandelion fluff in Black ink.

I cut the Largest Scalloped Square and embossed with the NEW Tufted Embossing folder.  Stamped the Dandelions in Black on a Stitched Whisper White Square.  Sponged both layers with Petal Pink ink.  Then added some Rose Metallic Thread and the Petal Pink Sequins.  Romance at its finest! Perfect for an Anniversary also!

The 4th at the K.

You are My Sunshine

Ok I am now INSPIRED by this set.....all the old sewing skills are bubbling to the surface.  This Sentiment gave me a vision I had to fulfill!  I used the Straight Stitch Thinlit to make Sun Rays!

I used a So Saffron 5 1/4 X 4 Mat and cut Rays moving from the Center out on each side.  I cut a 4 X 2 inch piece of Artistic Impression Designer paper and adhered to the bottom.  And a Whisper White  card base.

Stamped the Sentiment in Mango Melody and cut a Mango Melody Circle.  The Dotted ribbon is perfect for this card.  I also sponged some Mango Melody ink along the Stitched lines.

Stitch in the Ditch!

Did your Home Ec teacher say this?  Mine did and for some reason it popped in my Head today while using this Stamp set.  Do they even have Home Economics these days?  Back in MY DAY 1972-1975 they let "GUYS" take Home Ec!!  WOW that was a BIG DEAL in my Little Illinois town!!

I promised some Hinge stamping and here we go with stitching cause I am full of ideas for this stamp set!!!

Ok lots of pictures to follow, I hope you can get the idea of how this works.  It was a Happy Accident that I was able to use 3 different colors and have them ALL be a full image.  I love it when a not so well hatched plan WORKS!!!

First push your mat up against the edge and place your stamp.  Pick up the stamp with the Plate, ink the stamp and stamp.  Move the plate down a hinge and repeat.

Keep stepping down a hinge and stamp.  You will need to move you magnet out of the way when you get to the bottom hinge.

Clean your stamp, re-position on your project, ink and stamp again.

Add as many colors as you have room....or plan ahead and use the grid lines on the plate to determine how many images will fit.  With the Stamparatus your stamp will be the perfect position every time!  The magnets are SO strong, your paper stays in place!

I added 1 more color, and here is the finished panel.  Balmy Blue, Mango Melody and Pineapple Punch.  Now I am ready to STITCH in the DITCH! Sorry I forgot to take a picture of this process,  But it was super simple because your stamps give you a straight line to lay your stitch thinlit on.

You can see the stitching on this close up.  I chose to go every 2 images since I was also using the Ruffled embossing folder.  Love this color combo and the Circle Sentiment!

Today I am showing the Simplest Card ever!!  And the Star is the IN Color Designer paper.  Sad to say this paper is not part of the sale, but it is perfect for a FLAG!  SO if Patriotic cards are your jam, get this paper!!

I realize there are a few more Stripes and Stars, but you get the Idea!!  The card base is Blueberry Bushel,  The Stripes are actually Lovely Lipstick.  I embossed this paper with the Ruffled Dynamic embossing folder to give some motion to the paper.  Hard to see....but it is there.

I added some of the Pearl Sequins and the sentiment is from the Stained Glass set cut with a Layering Oval.  Simple yet Classic.

More Stitching

I wanted to use the Stitched piece to see what it looked like.  I used Whisper White and Gorgeous Grape for a Mat on a Larger Highland Heather mat.  I was going to Cross Stitch around this mat, but decided it may be too much.  I cut a Highland Heather Circle and a Whisper White piece for the sentiment.  Another Sentiment that covers lots of Occasions!

I used a few of the Same Sequins, some of the Mint Macaron lean more Highland Heather so they were perfect.  And some Gorgeous Grape Glitter dots.   Make this card in MANY Color combos for a totally different look!

Stitched All Around

And this card truly is "Stitched All Around", but I learned a valuable lesson, cut your mat to stitch to FIT the stitching plates, to avoid that empty space in each corner cause your paper is longer than the plate.  DUH, see I am saving you PAPER and Time with this one!!  I tried to line up and stitch again, but not my finest effort!

I used the Stamparatus and lined up the accent stamp and stamped in Mint Macaron on Mint Macaron card stock.  I wanted the lines closer together than the Hinge technique so will have to show you that later.
I also tried the Stitching on the card base....NOT a Good idea!!  You cannot turn your paper and get an even cut.  Cut a Mat TRUST me!!  I should have measured the plate, it easily covers the 4 1/4 inch side.  I would guess the plate is 5 inches long.  SO a good mat size would be 5 X 3 3/4.

 This Focal Stitched piece is Beautiful and the Sentiment can be used for Birthday, Wedding, Anniversary, many occasions!  I added some Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins.  Far from Basic!  Beautiful Subtle colors, Mint Macaron, Pearl White, Petal Pink, Soft Seafoam and Sahara Sand.

I admit this Bundle was not on my radar, but my Dear Friend Deb gifted this to me!! Thank you Deb!!!
