Party Animal Scraps.....

Coordination is one of the BEST things about Stampin' Up and this pack of Designer paper is all about Coordination.  When I cut this 12X12 paper for cards, I was able to get EIGHT 3 X 5 1/2 panels from each piece of paper.  With 12 pieces of paper, that is 96 panels of paper and they are 2 sided, so the possibilities are endless.....but there's more.........TWELVE 1 inch strips are left over.  I cut these strips in 3 inch lengths and positioned them on this card.

 I staggered them, glued them down on a Dapper Denim base and then ran thru the Big Shot with the Seaside 6X6 embossing folder.  Love this folder and the texture it provides.  I then added a strip of Emerald Envy ribbon and covered up the joining spot with a Stitched Oval Framelit.

It's Your Birthday fit perfectly and the Rhinestone was on the i in Birthday, but looks like that SLIPPED somewhere between the craft room and the photograph!   LOL!!Anyway that can be fixed before mailing.  Hope you enjoy today's card and are inspired to mix and match those scraps in your craft room!!

TOO many Candles.....

That's how I feel this year......slow down with the candles!!  Thank goodness I did not need to blow any out!

But here is another pattern from this Party Animal paper pack paired with the Candle punch.  Love how this turned out!

I started with a Crushed Curry card base, so the Candles would show thru!!  Added the Candle paper and then popped up the Dapper Denim candle panel.  3/4 inch by 5 1/2.  Not quite centered so added the Charm with White Bakers twine!

The Happy Birthday was added to a Tangerine Tango oval just peeking above the flames.

Let Them Eat Cake

This cake pattern makes me want to order the Biggest Birthday Ever set in the Big catalog.....but I must resist the temptation!  But can't you imagine that cake on this paper?

Instead I added a Tangerine Tango piece of cardstock punched with the Candle punch and backed with a Stitched Oval of Crushed Curry.  The Sentiment from     and stamped on the larger banner and trimmed out in Dapper Denim.

This pattern of the Party Animals Designer paper is too cute!!  Love the color combo!  I am out of Pacific Point paper and have been using Dapper Denim in it's place.  Just another example how SU colors blend together!!

And the Dapper Denim ribbon is a perfect accent over the Dapper Denim Stitched Oval and the Party Hat charm tied with Linen Thread.

Birthday Balloons

I have made a set of Birthday cards using the "Party Animal Suite" on pages 4 & 5 of the Occasions Catalog.  Great products that ALL coordinate!!

This card base is Tangerine Tango and the Balloon panel was cut from Whisper White THICK cardstock.  I stamped the Balloon images and then layered the Balloon cut outs over each Balloon.  The Balloon pattern paper peaks thru.  I had cut another Banner and popped up.

 I added some retired Baker's Twine and threaded under the Banner and added the Emerald Envy Bow.  Balloons are Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy and Crushed Curry.

Touches of Texture Birthday

I have a feeling you will see lots of this stamp set coming your way.  Grunge is a beautiful thing and I see tons of possibilities with this stamp set!  I started with the Edges again, subtle shades of So Saffron ink on So Saffron card stock.  The Flower is Tangerine Tango over Daffodil Delight.  Pear Pizzazz stem and card base.  And some Crumb Cake bees.  One of the Bees was a stamping disaster, so I ripped him off!  Like the rough edge....which I grunged up a bit.

Painter's Palette in Sweet Sugarplum

This card uses new set Painter's Palette with a square background.  Usually you would throw away this square piece of rubber, but Brandy Cox showed us this background at "OnStage".  Harder than I thought, but still makes an easy background.  New In Color Sweet Sugarplum is so soft and looks good stamped in shades.  Full Strength, then stamp again and again before re-inking.

 I fussy cut the easel and added some Washi tape and Rhinestones.

And this SASSY card by Marilyn Bennett will Blind you in person, but Oh so Cute and the Bow Tie!!  Sentiment is from "Happy Happenings". This gal was in all 11 groups of this swap and had to make a different card for each group!!  That is a total of 154 cards!

I'm not sure what this style is called it looks like a Capital I set to the side, allowing the sentiment to show. " It's My Party" designer paper is the STAR.  Love all the colors and how many ways this paper coordinates with all our colors!  Thanks Linda Moore from Maryland for this beautiful swap.

Deseree Krumm combined these "It's My Party" patterns and Mint Macaron Baker's twine bow.  The Glimmer paper in between really pops!
