Plaid for Dad

My Dad was a lover of Plaid.......I think most Men from his generation were.  He especially liked the short sleeve summer shirts with Snaps!  Here He is at Powell Gardens in 2005.  Miss this guy so much!!

This Plaid card took several steps and layers.  I think next time I will make 2 Plaid pieces for a smaller foot print on the card front.  Pretty Peacock card base, Mint Macaron, Cinnamon Cider and Soft Suede.

Let me show you the pieces.  Cut Mint Macaron in the Plaid Pattern.  Pretty Peacock and Soft Suede in the Grid lines.  Added 3/4 inch strips of Cinnamon Cider behind every other opening.

There was more light on these 2 pictures so the colors look different.

Add the Cinnamon Cider Strips to the back side.  Turn over and add the Pretty Peacock Grid.

Finally add the Soft Suede Grid and trim edges to fit on Card Front.
