I think many of us grew up with Children's Books and learning the sounds of all the Barnyard Animals. My Grandparents had Chickens and I was afraid, very afraid!! This Rooster brings back many memories, some fond.......some not so fond! This Crackle Paint Background stamp really sets the mood of this card.
With the New CLING stamps I added the label to the stamp and placed the stamp in the stamp case. No movement at all, inked up with Crumb Cake and placed the Crumb Cake card base on the surface. Press into the ink and use your Bone Folder or another Block to smooth the paper over the stamp. WA LA, a beautiful Background! And the Simply Shammy makes clean up so easy!
My Bermuda Bay leftover from yesterday is the next layer. I then cut 2 Squares, one in the Grapefruit Grove Foil and the other in Whisper White. You can use Framelits or simply cut squares with your trimmer.
I embossed the Foil Square with the Hexagons embossing folder which reminds me of Chicken Wire. The reflection off this paper once embossed is AMAZING! All those angles bouncing off each other.
I stamped the Rooster in Momento Black ink and colored with Blends and Markers.....the second time! The First Rooster ended up being a MASK as he was not too pretty! I used Bermuda Bay Blends, Grapefruit Grove, Poppy Parade and So Saffron Markers. And of course gotta have that Wink of Stella for some Shine!
I then inked up the grass in Crumb Cake and stamped over the Mask. Keep the Mask in your stamp case for future projects.
