I come from a long line of Quilters.......but the buck stops here. I did not catch the quilting bug......I have a cedar chest full of Quilt tops and finished Quilts. I fell in LOVE with fabric and used to sew my own clothes and made my Ex-Husband custom flannel shirts but that never translated into quilting.
I like to start a craft project and FINISH it in the same day........probably why I ditched knitting after my 4-H days. I still have a half knit sweater somewhere......both Grandmothers and my Mom Embroidered, Tatted, Crocheted beautiful Afghans, Table Clothes, Doilies and Pillow cases. They are all safely tucked away in that Cedar Chest. Another Time......a lot of memories.
But the crafty gene has morphed into Card Making and this Quilt Suite of Products really filled me up with all those Childhood times! Quilt Frames set up in my Grandmothers living room the entire winter and friends filling the room working on the Quilt. Embroidery Hoops locked to a project in a basket beside the chair. An unfinished Afghan draped over my Grandmothers lap as she crocheted.
One of the Last trends in Quilting while My Mom was quilting was called the CRAZY Quilt. You guessed it you took any fabric, all fabric and made a Quilt. This is my CRAZY Quilt Card!
Lots of Angles and Color!! Island Indigo, Lemon Lime Twist and Crushed Curry inks on a White panel mounted on Island Indigo and a Lemon Lime Twist card base. I tried to use most of the pattern stamps in this set and assign a color. Then kind of Random stamped and tried to fill in the white space. A little off track in a few spots........but that's what makes it CRAZY!!
And then........I quilted with the Quilt Top embossing folder and added the Stitched ribbon......clever!
The Sentiment is simple and popped up along with a stamped image trimmed to mimic a stamped image.

Here is a Picture of my Mom taken by my Aunt Marilyn. AuntiM had this Quilt finished by a Quilting group in Alpha Ill. So glad this quilt is being enjoyed by my Aunt and not cooped up in the Cedar Chest! This pattern is called Flower Garden.
