More High Tide

This Stamp set is going to be a keeper......so many options and such Beautiful Sentiments.  Today is a 2-fer, 2 cards similar but oh so different.  They both started as OOPS and were rescued!

My advice from lessons learned.....stamp the Light House FIRST and then work around with your Background, Horizon, etc.  If you have a Misti, use it for the dark saturated images and keep those Stazon pads inked up!!

 First up is a Soft Sky card base.  I sponged the background with Daffodil Delight, Perfect Plum, Sweet Sugarplum and Marina Mist.  The Sand is Soft Suede, Light is Crushed Curry, Grass is Always Artichoke and Waves on the water Marina Mist.

 I sponged to get a reflection look on the water.  Birds, Sentiment and Lighthouse were stamped in Black Stazon.  Light House 2nd layer is Dapper Denim.......nice card but regret the Light that stops short of the edge of paper.......Hmmm I guess I could cut this down and mount it on another card base......


Which is exactly what I did with this card.  I thought I had moved my Lighthouse over enough, but NOT.

 This card had issues from the Beginning, same light problem so cut down the paper.  I was using the Misti to get a nice dark Lighthouse image and the paper stuck to the stamp.  This happens when your Stazon pad needs to be re-inked.  But I had pulled up a bit of the paper.  So Stamped again on a scrap piece of Whisper White and trimmed out and popped up!

Perfect Plum card base with Tip Top Taupe sand, Always Artichoke grass, Dapper Denim waves.
