Be Joyful

This is a tweak of a Swap from Onstage.  All I changed was the Real Read Card base and the Black layer behind the Basic Gray panel.  The Tree from Sheltering Tree is stamped in Stazon Black.  Snow on the Branches is Whisper White craft ink as well as the swooshes of Snow at the base of the tree.

I would advise letting the Whisper White ink dry thoroughly or heat set before you Emboss the Sentiment with the Real Red Glitter Embossing powder.  This was my first go with this new product and the Glitter stuck to the White ink in a few places I'd rather it had not stuck!!  But Glitter has a tendency to go everywhere when you use it......like on my versamark pad.....when I fumbled and tried to catch the ink pad, only to have it land with a corner in the glitter! 

The close up I took was too blurry to post and I am too lazy to go back downstairs and take another photo.  Plus I would disturb my sleeping cat and she is still pretty owly so want to only go down when needed.  Snoopy has figured out how to open the BIG door since the door jamb is now really dry and loose.  I think I have her locked in and here she comes thru the Kitchen cat door  to my surprise.  SO I have the door tied shut with some ribbon!!  Snoopy is SO SMART!!

This card will be my main Christmas card.  I love it!!

Winter Birds

Here is another card using a "Not so Holiday" stamp set.  I want you to realize most of the stamp sets can be used for any Occasion!!  Let your imagination go and see where it takes you! 
I wish now I had stamped the stems and Cut out the Big Bird, but things change when you step away and look at something a few hours later!

I combined Christmas Pines for the Pine Branches and the Sentiment is also from this stamp set.  The Fonts are great on these sentiments and I have only scratched the surface on cards I want to create with Christmas Pines!

Real Red card base, Tip Top Taupe mat, Very Vanilla card front.  I washed the Tip Top Taupe branches with Garden Green and Early Expresso.  Garden Green pines and Real Red berries.  And a bit of Tip Top Taupe grunge.

Gingerbread Baking

I keep seeing adorable cards using this set Cookie Cutter Christmas.  I had to make one of the Cookie Sheet cards!  I cut a piece of Silver Foil 4 X 2 1/2.  I scored the ends at 1/4, then moved in 1/4 and scored again.  This allowed me to make a Mountain fold on each end and keep the Silver side out.  I used Tombow to glue the cookie sheet on the Candy Cane Christmas paper.  And Popped the Gingerbread men up.

The card base is Crumb Cake and the Gingerbread were stamped with Soft Suede on Crumb Cake and punched with the matching punch.  The Sentiment was also stamped in Soft Suede.

Seasonal Masks

This card is very easy and incorporates a TAG on a Masked card Base.   These masks are ON SALE until 11/28 in the Online Extravaganza!!  I used Always Artichoke ink on Always Artichoke card stock.  Hold down the mask and use a sponge to add the ink.  4 Masks in this package!!

I had cut these tags for my Craft fair and they make a perfect focal point on a card.  I used Christmas pines with some Red Metallic twine and the adorable Pine cone ornaments.

Banners for Christmas

I have been wanting to ink up the Mistletoe in this set since I first paged thru the catalog.  I love how the 2 different embossing folders give such a different look.  And so many Sentiments and Matching Framelits to cut them out!!!

 I stamped the Mistletoe in Garden Green ink on Garden Green card stock and then embossed with the Holly embossing folder.  Warmth & Cheer Paper stack was cut in an Oval with the NEW Stitched Shapes Framelits. 
Stampin' Up had to shut off this order number, but hope to be re-stocked by the end of the month, AND this Framelit set will be in next years Annual catalog. 
The Sentiment and Banner were stamped in Stazon Black on Cherry Cobbler card stock and cut out with the Framelits.  All on Crumb Cake card base to pull out the Crumb Cake in the Designer paper.

 Here is pretty much the SAME card, but I changed it to Portrait and used the Pretty Paisleys Embossing folder.  Perfect to Frame the Paper Oval.  A bit of Linen Thread tied to the Banner.

Jars of Bells and Holly

I promised these Jars a long time ago......made them, lost them and here they are!!  Pretty Simple layout, A Cherry Cobbler card base with a 4 X 1 1/2 piece of This Christmas Designer paper from the Annual catalog.   You get 24 sheets in this 12X12 paper package.  A bit thinner than the usual dsp, but perfect for layers! 

 Jar of Love is another GREAT Bundle that you can use ALL YEAR LONG!!  I stamped and cut out the Jar, Embossed the lid in Silver and added some Jingle Bells found in Jolly Friends!!  I stamped a few in Cherry Cobbler, then embossed a few in Silver.  I used Glue Dots to add a couple of Mini Jingle Bells!  Candy Cane Lane Bakers Twine is tied around the Jar.

 On this Jar I used Holly from Embelished Ornaments in the Annual Catalog.  The possibilities are endless if you really start looking at your stamp sets!!  I embossed the card base with the Holly embossing folder. 

 I added a Banner with a Sentiment from Banners for Christmas.  You'll see more of this Stamp set tomorrow.

I hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday with Family and Friends!  Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Today I made a card using the Best Birds and the matching framelits.  Until I received a swap at Onstage I had NO IDEA this little Bird existed!!  There are 2 Birds in the Framelit set that are not in the Stamp set.  Today I am using the Little Bird. 

I cut the Bird out of Tip Top Taupe and added a wash of Early Expresso and Crushed Curry.  The Big Bird is a multitude of colors, Tip Top Taupe, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Perfect Plum and Early Expresso colored with an Aquapainter with ink from the lid of the ink pads.  I added Real Red to the Berries and tried to make the leaves look Fall like.  The grunge from the Stamp set is stamped in Tip Top Taupe on a Very Vanilla.  Crushed Curry card base and a Tip Top Taupe mat. 

Here is a close up, can't wait to make a Holiday Version.  I LOVE stamp sets that can be used ALL YEAR LONG!!  The Sentiment is from Paisleys & Posies.

Paper Pumpkin....Out of the Box!

This month's kit really inspired me and the Trees and Houses made me think of "Over the river and thru the woods, to Grandmother's house we go".........so here is my interpretation of the Homespun Christmas feel this set inspires!!

 And the Warmth & Cheer paper stack was the perfect paper!  I used the Cable Knit embossing folder for that Sweater background look.  The Scene is Masked Trees on Crumb Cake, Stamped Homes and sentiment in Early Expresso and some Grunge Snowflakes in Whisper White craft ink.  Garden Green card base.

 More Warmth & Cheer patterns form this Quilted and Stitched look for this next card.

 My Stitched Framelits arrived and these Squares are adorable!!  I laid them on Whisper White card stock leaving the spaces and stamped the Trees and Homes.  Then I used the Softly Falling embossing folder to mimic Snow.  The Squares were then lined back up and glued down with Tombow Multi.  This panel was then mounted on Cherry Cobbler and then a Tip Top Taupe card base.

The Sentiment was stamped on Cherry Cobbler and cut out with an Oval Stitched Framelit.  A bit of Candy Cane Lane twine is tied in a bow.  This is a great way to use up scraps of paper!!

Paper Pumpkin November

This month's kit has 8 note cards and matching envelopes!! Perfect to mail or enclose in your Holiday gifts!  Here is the video of this kit:

I should have watched it, really watched it before I made my cards.  I stamped ON the Vellum and of course in my hurry it smeared and smudged.  Stamping on the card base is such a good idea and then it shows thru the Vellum.  I had quite a bit leftover after making 6 of the 8 note cards as pictured.  These will be perfect to tuck in with Neighbor and Co-workers gifts!

 I save these cut outs and used as Masks on the Alternative cards.

 I have leftovers, envelope, card base and pop ups and Glue dots.  Plus this kit includes 2 ink spots!!  Dapper Denim and Pear Pizzazz.  Paper Pumpkin is a great way to expand you inks collection!!

On this first Alternate card, I made the card exactly as directed, but cut the White card base in half.  Mounted on the Dapper Denim envelope and then on a Pool Party Card base!!  A FULL size card in minutes!!  See the extra Trees I sponged in the background under the Vellum?

 I did the same on this Pool Party card base, sponged some Trees and Hills directly on the card base.  The Pieces are 4 1/4 wide, so assembled them and popped up on the card.  Added the Sequins and Twine for some sparkle.
