I added some Branches to the background, Sentiment and Robins to the White 2 inch strip.  The houses were stamped in Early Expresso on Crumb Cake.  Snipped out with my scissors.

Hues of Blue......

Seaside Spray card base and In Good Taste Designer paper set the stage for this Whisper White embossed panel using the Greenery Embossing folder.  Whisper White when embossed is striking!  Gives such a contrast for the Bird and Nest to sit against.

Ornate Style Dies provide a fancy edge to the Designer paper.  This pattern looks like a Berber carpet! Night of Navy and Seaside Spray Bird sits on a Early Expresso nest stamped on a Wood Grain pattern of In Good Taste paper.  Misty Moonlight ribbon ties all the Blue Hues together in this HELLO card.

I hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday with Family and Friends!  Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Today I made a card using the Best Birds and the matching framelits.  Until I received a swap at Onstage I had NO IDEA this little Bird existed!!  There are 2 Birds in the Framelit set that are not in the Stamp set.  Today I am using the Little Bird. 

I cut the Bird out of Tip Top Taupe and added a wash of Early Expresso and Crushed Curry.  The Big Bird is a multitude of colors, Tip Top Taupe, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Perfect Plum and Early Expresso colored with an Aquapainter with ink from the lid of the ink pads.  I added Real Red to the Berries and tried to make the leaves look Fall like.  The grunge from the Stamp set is stamped in Tip Top Taupe on a Very Vanilla.  Crushed Curry card base and a Tip Top Taupe mat. 

Here is a close up, can't wait to make a Holiday Version.  I LOVE stamp sets that can be used ALL YEAR LONG!!  The Sentiment is from Paisleys & Posies.

Birds on a Branch

I love a good Bird and when there is a Framelit to cut that Bird out.........well that is a BONUS!!!  And also the Branch!  So many great possibilities with this Bundle!

 I started with a Soft Sky card base and added some Pool Party grunge in the background.  The sentiment is stamped in Early Expresso.  The Bird and Branch were also stamped in Early Expresso and cut out with Framelits.  I then colored with Markers.  Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake on the Branch.  Pool Party, So Saffron, Smoky Slate on the Bird.

Birds of A Feather

Here is another pack of Designer Paper that had not been opened and now that I have cracked it open I can't stop!  So here goes a few cards using the paper and matching stamp set "Flock Together."

Both cards use a Crumb Cake card base stamped with the Netting Background stamp with Crumb Cake ink.  This background stamp is retiring and it really does give a nice soft background.  I will miss this!  A one inch strip of the Designer paper is layered over a Top Note.  The Top notes are Primrose Petals card stock embossed with Fancy Fan and Baja Breeze embossed with Chevron.

The Bird Cage is stamped in Crumb Cake ink, birds in Summer Starfruit and Island Indigo.  One Bird cage is cut out with the Labels Framelits and the other is snipped with paper snips. 

The Sentiments are from Bitty Banners and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  Super cute, super easy!

Take Care Baby!

We are having a Baby Shower at work next week and I was asked to make a Baby Boy card.  I used the "Take Care" stamp set tree branch again and added a cute little chicklet from "Flock Together".  You will see more of this set in the next few days.  I had not used it, and how sad would that be if it retires and all I have inked is this little chick?
The card base is Whisper White 4 1/4 X 5 1/2.  Bashful Blue mat 5 1/4 X 4 1/4.  This gives you room to punch the Scallop Border punch.  Bashful Blue Subtles Paper stack was cut 5 X 3 3/4 and ran thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.  The nest was stamped in Crumb Cake ink on the 4 X 3 Whisper White mat.  I colored the leaves on the nest in with Old Olive marker, then embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.
The tree was stamped on a scrap of paper using Early Expresso and Old Olive markers.  I cut this out and used glue dots to adhere.  I stamped the Chick with Marina Mist and Daffodil markers and cut out and popped up on the nest.  Baby from Tiny Tags was stamped in Marina Mist inside the Daffodil Delight tag and punched with the Jewelry Tag punch.  A large pearl anchors the tag on the branch.

Betsy's Blossom Border

One more simple card using Betsy's Blossoms small flower stamped as a border in Daffodil Delight.  I cut these out on both sides and popped them up on the Whisper White card base.  First I stamped the Tree Branch from "Take Care".  I colored the stamp with the Early Expresso and Old Olive Markers.  The Bird was stamped in Midnight Muse and cut out.  An extra wing was stamped, cut and popped up.  The Sentiment from "Word Play" was stamped in Midnight Muse.  Rhinestones were added to the Bird and Flowers.

Miss You Bird

Another Bird card and it's a Valentine!  This mailbox made me think of the Postage Punch which has not been used for a long time.  The Sentiment on the stamp is "miss you", perfect for the postage theme, but I stamped crooked!!  And as I always say "we can fix this!"  So a Valentine was born!

I used the new Valentine Special set and punched it out with the small Oval punch and layered it on some Real Red card stock and covered up the slanted sentiment!  No one will ever know, except my Blog followers!

 

I used some new Spring Occasions Mini items on this card.  More Amore' designer paper and the Hearts a Flutter Bundle.  I stamped 3 different hearts in Real Red Classic ink on Whisper White card stock.  The Framelits make cutting out images a snap with the Big Shot.  Buy the Stamps and Framelits in a bundle and save 15%!

 The Pool Party edges were embossed with the new embossing folder Needlepoint Border.  You get 2 folders, the stitched scalloped edge pictured and cross stitch.  I popped up the hearts on the Real Red Postage stamps.  Valentine on it's way!!  The Birdie is colored with a Pool Party marker and a touch of More Mustard marker on his beak!

Stacked Birds

Can you tell I am in love with the Honeycomb Embossing folder?  I used it to create texture on the Poetry Prints Designer paper and then embossed a separate piece of Midnight Muse and cut out 3 honeycombs and randomly popped them up.  The Birds are colored with Watercolor crayons and a Blender pen.  Punched with the 2 3/8 scallop circle and layered on a 2 1/2 circle of Crumb Cake card stock.  I inked the sentiment separately and punched with the Modern Label punch.  Two brads anchor the sentiment and mimic the polka dots in the paper.  A strip of Midnight Muse satin stitched ribbon ties the Midnight muse thru out the card.

Spring Bird

Here is another version of the same bird used yesterday on the Valentine.  This time I left the sentiment with the stamped image and it fits nicely in the 2 3/8 Scallop Circle punch.  I could not resist using the Honey comb embossing folder.  This time I inked it up with some Crumb cake classic ink and ran the Naturals Ivory card stock thru the Big Shot.  The Bees from Collage Curios Stamp set fit perfectly in the comb! 
The Tree is a piece of Early Expresso Core'dinations card stock and the Woodgrain embossing folder.  The leaves were cut from Certainly Celery card stock with the new Secret Garden Framelits.  The Bird was colored with Watercolor crayons and a Blender pen, then popped up on the tree.  More Birdies flying in tomorrow........

Love Bird

Here is another Bird from the stamp set "For the Birds".  This little fella says "thinking of you", but I did not ink that part up when I stamped in Black Stazon on Naturals Ivory card stock.  I colored with a blender pen and watercolor crayons.  The designer paper is from the Spring Mini and is called More Amore.  The Primrose Petal Heart is cut from the laser cut sheet.  There are 16 hearts on 1 sheet!  One inch strips of other patterns were snipped with a Square punch to create the pennant finish. 

The Bird was cut out with the new Hearts a Flutter Framelits.  Love was stamped from the Ciao Baby stamp set and punched with the new Petite Curly label punch.  A bit of Linen thread ties it all together on the Naturals Card base embossed with the Chevron embossing folder.
