Basket of Wishes

Awwwwwwe.....coloring, I will never be too old to COLOR!!  This stamp set begs to be colored and I loved pairing it with the new "Pretty Paisleys" embossing folder.  Such crisp beautiful embossing, which is covered up a bit too much on this card, tomorrow I will show you more of this embossing folder!!

 I used a Very Vanilla card base, Pumpkin Pie mat and Water color paper.  Image and sentiment were stamped in Stazon Black and aqua painted with Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake and Tip Top Taupe inks.  I corner rounded every corner with the Project Life Corner rounder.

Spooky Scene

In this easy card I use the "Spooky Fun stamp set and Halloween Scenes Edgelits".  Awesome set with so many options for all your Fall and Halloween cards!!

As you know, I LOVE trees, and this tree is NO exception!!  And it is 4" across, so fits your card front perfectly!!  I added a tombstone in the background, a Moon and the Flying witch.  Pumpkins complete this simple scene on a Smoky Slate card base.  The Moon was sponged with Daffodil Delight ink.

 I used a Pear Pizzazz card base and Crumb Cake mat.  Spider Webs from the "Ghoulish Grunge" stamps frame the corners.  Sentiment and Spider are from "Spooky Fun".

Not sure my eye ball colors are accurate.......but love the slime dripping down the jar!  I added Wink of Stella to each jar for some shimmer.  And the Baker's twine around the Pumpkin jar.  And a bit of Washi Tape for some more shine.

Candy Corn Jar of Haunts

Candy Corn is a Halloween staple, but OH so sweet, and can give you a head ache if one over indulges!  This card is super simple and this Stamp set "Jar of Haunts" is the cutest!  I paired this jar with some grunge from "Ghoulish Grunge".  LOVE both these sets and all the Spooky card possibilities they offer.

 I started with a Perfect Plum card base.  4 1/4 X 2 3/4 black mat and 4 X 2 1/2 Pumpkin Pie mat.  The Brick grunge is stamped in Stazon Black to create the Brick background.  I then added a strip of 'Halloween Night  Washi Tape."  The Jar was stamped in Stazon on Whisper White card stock and cut out with the matching Framelits. 

 Candy Corn was stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink and then colored with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie markers.  "Halloween Night enamel dots" and "Baker's twine" were added to the Jar and then popped up on the card.  The Sentiment is from "Spooky Fun" another great stamp set with a matching Framelit bundle.  You can see and order all the goodies September 1st when the catalog goes live!!

I have taken a few days off.........did you notice? Bokeh Leaves

Remember ALL those leaves I cut?  Well here is the leftover.......frame......and you know what that means......Bokeh!!  I love this technique and knew I had to make a background and save this template for many more backgounds!

I started with an Always Artichoke card base and mat.  I randomly sponged leaves on the mat with Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke and Wild Wasabi inks.   Turning the template and overlapping the leaves.  The Sentiment is stamped in Early Expresso and the Early Expresso Tree is popped up and tied with a snip of Linen Thread.  LOVE this CARD!!!

Floating Leaves

I lost count of the leaves I stamped for the Sunflower Petals so had a few left over.......and of course a Card was waiting to be made!!  I used the Seaside embossing folder on a Cajun Craze mat which gives these leave a floating on the Breeze feeling! 
The card base is Very Vanilla.  A few wraps of Linen Thread and a Simple Sentiment complete this card.

Sunflower Branches

I wish I had written down the name of the first creator when I saw this card.  I am not sure how she even made the card, because a picture was worth 1000 words.  I filed the card in my mind and now weeks later here is my version. 
I must say cutting 12 leaves for the Sun flower was a bit tedious and then X 4 to make 3 more cards!!  So this will not be a Stamp A Stack card.  But if you purchase this bundle you can make all the Flowers you want and enjoy the MANY ideas this Fabulous stamp set can create.  I used 3 different embossing folders for the backgrounds.....Petal Burst, Brick Wall and Seaside.  Which one do like the best?

 Here is the Seaside background on a Crumb Cake card base.  The Leaves are Garden Green.  The Sentiment was stamped in Early Expresso before embossing with the Seaside Folder. 
The Hydrangea Bloom was stamped with Versamark and embossed with Early Expresso embossing powder.  Then cut out with the Framelit and then cut in half using the petals as a guide with your snips.  I punched a 2 inch Early Expresso circle and then popped up the two halves to form a 3D Sunflower center. 
The Petals were stamped in Delightful Dijon and Crushed Curry on Daffodil Delight or So Saffron card stock.  I curled the Petals with a Bone folder and then used Tombow to adhere to the back of the circle.  Also Popped this up on the card front.  A Linen Thread Bow ties this card all together.

Olympic Swirls

My Oh My this has been an awesome Olympics!  I attended the 1996 Summer games in Atlanta Ga.  So many memories with my High School friend Kim who lives at Lake Lanier.  And my bucket list includes another visit to these Summer Games.  Hoping Los Angeles wins the bid for 2020.  If so I will BE THERE!! 

Beach VolleyBall. Tennis, Gymnastics, VolleyBall, Swimming, Diving, love it all.....well maybe Track and Rowing not so much.  I played Beach Volleyball from 1990-2007.  Maybe that is why my knees hurt now.  Watching these matches really makes me want to get in shape and get out there again.  I had a Bumper sticker that read......."VolleyBall is Life".  It was for many years for me and I met many lifelong friends playing this game.

Many cards have been out there using the Swirly Bird Framelits as the Olympic Rings.  So here is that version.....how cute and if you hold any Olympic Themed parties would make an awesome Invitation.

 Then I went for the Medals and replicated the Rings in Gold, Silver and Bronze(Our NEW Copper Foil paper).  Added some leaves to mimic the Wreathes worn on the Heads of the Athletes.  Who will I send this card to?  Some one FABULOUS!!!  Who deserves 3 Golds a Silver and a Bronze!!

White Christmas

There is nothing more Elegant than a White Glittery Christmas card.  And add a Pop of Real Red Birds and WOW!!  The Sentiment was stamped first in Black Stazon from the "Wondrous Wreath" set in the Big catalog.  Then the Snow drifts were embossed with Dazzling Diamonds.  Then emboss this panel with the "Gently Falling" embossing folder.  Wrap Silver Thread around the panel(use Scotch tape to anchor this on the back of your panel).  And then POP the entire panel up on a Whisper White card base. 
Cut your Tree using THICK Whisper White card stock.  I used the Snow drift lines and randomly embossed some Dazzling Diamonds on the Tree.  Pop up on your card front and add the Red Birds. 

 I hope you can see the Sparkles!!

Oh Christmas Tree

This is the first time I inked up the Evergreen, and Oh my it is so elegant!!  I matted on Cherry Cobbler and added a panel of "This Christmas" designer paper on a Garden Green card base.  The Sentiment is from "Reason for the Season" in the Big catalog.  Gold Thread adds some interest and sparkle!

Back to School Branches

Thoughtful Branches Week

I am going to share some more Thoughtful Branches cards for the rest of this week.  A few Holiday cards and some new images using stamps I had neglected.  This set is really amazing and with limited quantities, grab one before they are gone!!

This card uses the 3 Trees on Watercolor paper and the Dotted image for leaves.  I used Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon and Pumpkin Pie inks for the Leaves.  Tree trunks are Tip Top Taupe.  I rocked and rolled a few stamps for a multi color effect and then spritzed with Water.  A little TOO much water in the middle, but that is the beauty of a handmade card.  No 2 cards are alike!

Watercolor Hydrangea

I love this Technique.....you get the look of water coloring, but in reality, you stamp and then spritz with water.  So easy and such an awesome look!  I used watercolor paper, stamped with Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.  And a bit of Pear Pizzazz.  Then Spritz with water and let the color bleed.  If you get too much water blot with a paper towel.  Allow to dry or use your heat gun.
 
Once dry stamp your sentiment with Black Stazon.  I used a Pear Pizzazz mat on a Peekaboo Peach card base.  Added some of the ruched ribbon and 2 Pear Pizzazz leaves.

Washi Candles

If you are like me every new stack of 5 Washi tape is a must have and then they multiply in the tubs!  I swear mine do........I had to sell off a bunch in my yard sale and decided this time......I am going to USE it! 
So I used the "Pop of Pink" as candles on this adorable Birthday card.  The Flames were embossed in gold and I love how a bit of the embossing powder stuck to the Washi tape and embossed like dripped wax.  The card base is Smoky Slate, with a Black mat.  I used my Grid paper to line up the candles.  The Sentiment is stamped and cut out with the Bunch of Banners Framelits.
