Painted Petals 2

Here is a very simple card showcasing another pattern of the Painted Blooms and an Oval featuring a Pacific Point stem of flowers.  A Pacific Point Oval frames the flowers and a Marina Mist cotton bow tied between.  I used one of the great sayings from this stamp set.

I also embossed this paper with the Spring Flowers embossing folder.  Love this folder and will use it on colored cardstock tomorrow.

Painted Petals and a Video!!

This stamp set and matching paper is amazing!!  I have several ideas running around my head, so expect to see more in a few days.  First up is a Thank you card using the Note Tag punch.  We have a stamp set that matches this punch on page 28 of the Occasions catty.

I inked the embossing folder with BlackBerry Bliss ink and pressed the ink into the cardstock.  I need to try this on the same shade cardstock for that muted mono chromatic effect!

Kookaburrra

This little bird had stirred quite the controversy on our Stampin' Connection boards.  What is it, what color should it be?  Someone posted a picture of a Kookaburra and I agree this is it.  I tried to use Blendabilities and went a little too brown, but I love this little guy and will be trying again real soon.

Here is the real deal.....

I used a Smoky Slate card base and tried to inprint with the new Spring Flowers embossing folder inked in Smoky Slate.  The impression was not as great as I imagined, but I love it.  Just enough to give a mottled look.  My Bird is matted on Soft Sky and our new White Jute ribbon and a Basic Metal Button.  This ribbon frays beautifully and I tied a piece in the button.

Tic Tac Toe

Who knew Work of Art had this in it?  I used Naturals White as a card base, but feel this would have really popped on Whisper White.  Next time.....or cut a 4X4 mat and pop that up on the card base.  Sometimes the first try is not always the finished project!

I then used the Hearts Confetti punch mask and sponged some Real Red Hearts, added some Stacked with Love Washi Tape and then used the Hearts Border from the Mini Treat Bag.

Tree of Love

This new set Sheltering Tree is a perfect ALL Occasion set.  I used the tree, swing and added Rhinestones for a Beautiful Valentine!  Colors are Pistachio Pudding card base, Rich Razzleberry mat.  Tree is Early Expresso, Blushing Bride and Rich Razzleberry inks.  Wild Wasabi ground and Rich Razzleberry sentiment.

Calypso Coral Tulips

This Single stamp caught my eye at the catty reveal, the newsprint wrapped around the tulips took me back to my Florist days in Illinois.  Yes flowers from the Wholesalers came wrapped in paper and the Floral Boxes were stuffed with newspapers and pillows made from papers to cradle the heads of delicate blooms.  Miss those days and peeling back the layers to see what was in the box.  Kind of like Christmas every day of the year!

The card base is Naturals Ivory to match the "Typeset" paper.  The Calypso Coral panel is embossed with half of the Filigree Frame embossing folder.  The Tulips were stamped with Momento ink directly to the newsprint pattern.  I then tore the edges of the paper and colored with Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi Blendabilities.  Regular Stampin' Write markers or colored pencils will work also.

I then stamped the sentiment again on Naturals Ivory and trimmed out with scissors.  Calypso Coral ribbon from the Sale-a-bration Accessory pack is added and the sentiment is popped over the top.  Any sentiment can be used and popped up over the sentiment attached to this stamp.  So this can be an ALL Occasion card!!

Strawberry Slush Berry Basket and video!!

I picked many a strawberry as a child and the little wooden baskets were the cutest.  They soon disappeared and were replaced my cardboard, plastic and sweet ceramic renditions to decorate your home.  Now we have the best Berry Basket die!  It comes with the scalloped border and a Handle. 

I chose not to use the handle, but did line my basket with Strawberry Slush Designer paper.  A great basket to hold all kinds of goodness for Spring giving!  I used Pear Pizzazz cardstock (1) 8 1/2X 11 piece cut in half.  Here are some pictures to help understand this product.

The baskets are folded at the score lines and adhered together with Tombow Multi adhesive to form a basket.  The trim will hold the sides together.

The liners are cut from 6X12 Designer paper and then you will need to trim a bit off each end so the designer paper will be below the line of the basket.  Adhere together and line the basket. 
The trim is folded at the score lines and I used Tombow Multi to adhere to the basket sides.  Allow for the gaps in each corner of the basket.

I used a bit of Retired Strawberry Slush ribbon and a Tag from "One Tag Fits All".  The matching Note Tag punch fits every stamp in this stamp set.

Love Life Lemons!! and a Video!!!

Here is another Great Sale-a-bration set called " A Happy Thing".  I love the Bird in this set and will have a sample coming in a few days.  This Lemon screams to be colored with the Blendabilities!  I did not intend to cut it out when I started, but it was pretty easy to trim out.  The Silver Vellum is adhered with tombow multi and then covered with the Daffodil Delight panel punched with the Heart Border punch.  I wish I had stamped the sentiment directly to the Smoky Slate card base.  It smeared a bit stamping directly to the Vellum.  Simple, Happy card, just like it's name!

You're So Sweet

I love this new paper stack and paired with Crisp Cantaloupe is so lucious and yummy.  Not a traditional Valentine color, but it works!  I had some leftover Calypso Coral Polka dots from a Birthday Ballon card posted a few days ago and punched the scraps with the Itty Bitty Heart punch. 

I embossed a 2 X 4 piece of Stacked with Love designer paper pack  patternand a Crisp Cantaloupe Apothecary Accents label with Happy Hearts embossing folder.  I added Stacked with Love Washi Tape.  The Sentiment from "You Plus Me" was stamped and cut with another Apothecary Accent framelit.  A few of the hearts were scattered on the card.  I wish now I had scattered a few Rhinestones, but no going back now.  Adorable card for your sweet someone!!

Another Childs Valentine.....

Here is another adorable Valentine to make with your Children or Grandchildren and the sentiment is perfect for School! 

The card base is Soft Sky with a bit of Gorgeous Grunge stamped across in Soft Sky ink.  Deco Labels Framelets in Real Red frames the fishys!  I stamped the Fish is Stazon ink and colored with Stampin' Write markers.  Then cut out with the smaller Deco Label.  I added a bit of Soft Sky grunge bubbles and how cute is this?  And simple to make with little stampers!

ENJOY some Treats!! And a Video!!

This Treat Bag thinlit die is awesome!  I expecially love the Heart, Circle and Stars cut outs.  Perfect for cards, bags and any project you want to add a sneak peak or a pop of color!  This bag will hold 2 Ghirardelli Chocolates, a gift card, standard flat candy bar, many things.  Hershey, Skor, Heath type bars would fit perfectly.   

You can get 2 bags from 1 sheet of Designer paper.  If you are a paper HOARDER like me, this is a perfect way to use up some of your paper.  Cut the sheet in half (6 X 12) and run thru the Big shot.  I used Tombow multi to adhere the tabs.  Score lines give you perfect folds!

 I used " I am Me " retired paper....oops!  Added the strip of Real Red to the inside of the bag before I assembled.  The ENJOY is adhered on the outside with Tombow Multi Adhesive,

 Here is a picture of the Hearts.  They are cut out before assembly also.

 Here is another bad using current Designer Paper Park Lane.  I cut the "For You" from the bag front and then adhered it to a BlackBerry Bliss Decorative Label punch and popped this over the hole in the bag.  The Chocolate gives you an idea of the size of this bag.  Perfect for a little something sweet, but not enough to ruin anyones Diet!! Ha!!

This is my favorite SAB stamp set.  And of course I started with Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum.  Color combos are endless!  But always start with the light color as your solid image and work your way darker with the line images.  On this card I used some Vellum scraps and the circles on the side are from the new Mini Treat Bag dies on page 9 of the Occasions mini.  There are Hearts, Stars and Circles, perfect for cutting shapes in card fronts, bags, any project!  And what a great place to tie a Baker's twine bow!!
