Beautiful Bethlehem

Oh my I showed some swaps of this stamp set last week and then I inked it up and cut it out again and again and again.  This is the MOST Beautiful Religious set Stampin' Up has ever done in my opinion.  The Sentiments, the Images, the Framelits and the versatility make this Bundle a MUST have!

I love this HUGE sentiment and I wanted it to dominate this card front so I went with the city in Wood Textures and Soft Suede card stock on a Crumb Cake card base.  LOVE, LOVE , LOVE this simplicity.  Added a  Gold Glimmer paper star.

And the Wood Grain pops!!  And these Palm Trees!

Then I wanted to try the salt technique.......I need to watch the video again, or get smaller salt.  I did not get the reaction I was looking for, but it is still beautiful.  I wet the Watercolor paper and added So Saffron, Peek a boo Peach and Smoky Slate inks with the Aqua Painter.  Then I added Rock Salt......magic was supposed to happen?  I added more water.....more ink.....nothing.  I think my salt chunks were too big.  Shannon West presented this technique at OnStage and trust me it was magic!

I dried the card with my heat gun and then embossed the sentiment with Copper Embossing powder.  Cut the Star and scene from Champagne Foil.  I had not had the bumps show thru on any other cutouts, so I did not add a piece of copy paper.....so of course I get bumps......foil can be tricky!

Christmas Sweaters

I have been wanting to ink up this stamp set and I did receive 1 swap using this stamp set at Onstage.  Thank You Terri Green for the Inspiration!!

Crumb Cake and Real Red make a stunning card!  I decided to COLOR with my Blends and went a bit crazy.......3 more cards in record time!!

I started simple, stamped the Sweater with Momento ink with not too much detail.  I then colored in Pool Party on a Whisper White Oval.  I cut another Oval from Dazzling Diamond Glimmer paper.  I did remember to cut a couple of Snowflakes to use on another card........don't waste that glimmer paper!!
I decided the Silver Foil showed up better so saved these Glimmer flakes for another card coming up next week.

I used the 2 Snowflakes from Cheers to the Year and stamped in Pool Party ink on Pool Party card stock.  The Sentiment was stamped in Momento Black and is from Christmas Pines.  This set is in the Big catalog and has some great Sentiments.

Here is the finished card.......I added rhinestones to the Snowflakes and a Silver Foil Snowflake using the Colorful Seasons Framelits.  And some Clear Wink of Stella on the Snowflake on the Sweater!

Christmas Sweaters  144893  Wood $27.00,  144896 Clear $19.00

Cheers to the Years  144925 Wood  $25.00,  144928 Clear $18.00 ( I could have used the Snowflake stamps from Colorful Seasons Bundle)

Christmas Pines  142049 $35.00

Colorful Seasons bundle  $145348  $54.00

Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper  135315  $5.00   2  12X12 Sheets
Silver Foil  132178   $4.00   2   12X12 sheets
Rhinestones  144220  $5.00
