My First Flutter Card

and I should have went back and watched the video!  A few learning curves on this card.......Roll thru the Big Shot over and over again......and then again!  Use the flattest and BEST cutting pads you have.  These slats are very tiny and need to cut thru, so make sure they do before you try to remove from this thinlet!!!  Or as the video advises Use the precision base plate, I have one, need to try this on the next card.  Here is the video:

Use SU Foam Adhesive strips to build a pocket for your Flutter Piece.  You need the strips to allow your Flutter portion to Flutter freely and not get hung up on the sides.  Or as in the video create a fitted pocket with card stock.

I started with a Flirty Flamingo card base and a 4 X 5 1/4 Whisper White panel.  Cut the thinlet leaving space at the bottom for your Sentiment.  Cut your Flutter Panel 3 1/2 X 4 1/2.  

I stamped a Butterfly image in Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo.  Then added some of this yummy Lemon Lime Twist ribbon.

I decorated the Front panel with Lemon Lime Twist leaves, some Butterflies and a Flower.  You can see the Butterflies peeking thru the louvers.  Use dimensionals to POP up the entire panel.  Make sure your pocket  keeps the Flutter panel in place.  When you move the panel the Butterflies appear to Flutter!!  TOO COOL!

Pocketful of Sunshine

The minute I saw this bundle it went on the Wish List!  It so reminds me of my teenage years and embellishing our jeans!  Appliques, Lace, Fabric, Bling......you name it we were putting it on our jeans!  You see I am OLD and Jordache and embellished jeans did not exist......plus I was very tall, so it was common to add fabric to the hem to make my jeans longer.  Oh the Good Old days!!!

I added the Sentiment and Sunshine to a Daffodil Delight card base.  The Pocket was cut from Night of Navy and stitching stamped in Black.  I could not resist adding a scrap of Daisy Designer paper!  The Sunglasses were stamped in Marina Mist and the Frames were colored with the Gray Watercolor pencil.  I added so Clear Wink of Stella for the mirrored look.

Clear faceted Gems add that brad effect on the Pocket.  Warning.......putting Sunglasses in your BACK pocket can be hazardous to your glasses!!

Next time, I need to stamp the shades on colored card stock.  I learn as I go!

Daisy Bundle Flip Side

Another thing I love about Stampin' Up Designer paper......FLIP it over and you have a whole new LOOK!  Flip the orientation of the card.  Same embossing folder on Pear Pizzazz card stock.  Designer paper cut to 2 1/4 X 4 and mounted on 2 1/2 X 4 Pear Pizzazz.  More new ribbon tied in a bow.  This Daisy was stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink and then rolled in a bit of Lemon Lime Twist. 

Bunches of Banners was used for the sentiment again with the extra piece behind.  The colors look a bit off in this photo, but I think it is due to the night lighting and wood background.  I love this Designer paper pattern!

Daisy Bundle is BACK!!

Daffodil Delight card base with the Whisper White layer embossed with the Leaves.  Remember to only use 1 plate in your embossing sandwich for these 3D embossing folders!

The focal point is 2 Daffodil Delight stamped Daisies layered on a 2 1/2 X 4 1/4 panel of Night of Navy.  A layer of Designer paper 2 1/4 X 4 is added and tied with the ribbon.  The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set used yesterday and cut with Bunch of Banners Framelits. 

A little bit of Night of Navy Sponging on the Sentiment adds just enough texture to the sentiment.

In Color Happy Birthday

I love how SU products coordinate.  Making cards is so much easier when ALL things match!  This Happy Birthday Thinlit cuts like butter and gives you endless options for your card making!  And this Ombre ribbon is amazing....may have to scoop up the 2 other colors!
