Easter Boxes

Need some Quick Easter Treats?  I am decorating our Treat Boxes and adding a new video fron SU showing you how to alter these treat boxes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gS1ZgeI4dps&feature=share&list=PL690AA94BDD50C234

Here is my box, full size and super easy!

I stamped rows of eggs in pastel colors before folding up my box.  Pear Pizzazz Chevron ribbon is tied around the box.  A Egg tag is made by Layering a Pear Pizzazz Oval, Tempting Turquoise Oval and stamping the Egg shaped sentiment and cutting it out and popping it up on the tag.  This box is good size and can hold a multitude of treats!

Blessed Easter

A few Tulips are popping up in my yard, but no blooms yet.  This card would be perfect for Easter or any occasion to Brighten some one's day!

The Tulips were inked in Crushed Curry and stamped on So Saffron card stock and matted on Pear Pizzazz card stock.    I used the Pear Pizzazz marker to color leaves.  Inked and stamped again on Whisper White card stock and cut with the Oval Framelit.  The background tulips were embossed with the Honeycomb embossing folder.  The sentiment was inked with Early Expresso and stamped on Whisper White and punched with the Artisan Label punch.  Another punch from So Saffron is cut in half and layered behind.  A snip of Pear PIzzazz Chevron ribbon makes the sentiment stand out.

Watercoloring Eggs!

Here is another Great video showing a Watercolor technique.  Perfect for coloring these Easter Eggs on my card.  I love the Inspiration SU gives us.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1hDzvoVi-o&feature=share&list=PL690AA94BDD50C234&index=2

This Card base is Tempting Turquoise.  On Film Framelits cut out the Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz Frames.  I cut the sentiment off this stamp so I could stamp the eggs in a collage.  The Eggs were colored with various markers and spritzed with water.  Then stamped on Whisper White.    I need to try this technique again with a more solid image.  But I do like the blurred lines on some of the eggs.  The Large Egg sentiment is stamped in Tempting Turquoise and the Eggstra Special.  This sentiment fits in the Itty Bitty Framelits!  Two candy dots add a bit of bling.

Ingredients:

Eggstra Special  133071  Clear $11.95,  133068 Wood $15.95
On Film Framelits  132969  $29.95

Bitty Banners Framelits  129267  $14.95

Water Color Bunny

First I'm sharing a Great Video showing this technique for the background for this card:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWTGzM9YcIQ&list=PL690AA94BDD50C234&feature=share&index=1

I tired this a few weeks ago and I think I was using too light of colors.  So this time I chose Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi.  Colored the clear block with markers, spritzed with water and stamped.  Here are 2 attempts, one on water color paper, one on whisper white.

Still not quite the look I was going for, what did this need?  More Water!  Spritz until the water almost runs off the block.  And you will get the Monet effect that I used on the actual card.

The Bunny is stamped in Black Stazon and Framed with Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi card stock.  A line of Tempting eggs add some additional Easter fun to this simple card!  I cut the sentiment away from the eggs for easier use of this stamp set.  You'll se why tomorrow!
Allow some time for your card stock to dry before stamping and assembly so the corners will lay flat.

Ingredients:
Eggstra Spectacular  133071 Clear $11.95, 133068 Wood $15.95

Tempting Turquoise card stock  102067  $6.95

Wild Wasabi card stock  108641 $6.95
Wild Wasabi marker  Subtles Collection 131263 $28.95 10 markers
Stazon Black ink  101406 $7.95

Morning Meadow

Morning Meadow is a Hostess set in the Big Catalog and I noticed a card across from the stamp set and wanted to make a similar card.  The color combo is BOLD!  I used a Crumb Cake card base and Coastal Cabana patterned paper.  Modern Meadow flower sprays were stamped with Bermuda Bay.  Love this look!  The Filigree was stamped in Crushed Curry and cut with the Apothecary Accents framelit.  It does not fit perfectly, but gives a nice background for the Pumpkin Pie Thank you.  Pumpkin Pie Petite petals and a snip of Chevron Ribbon continue the BOLD color theme.

Hexagon Hive

I was reluctant to order this thinlit, but now that I have it cannot imagine why I waited!  Helpful Hint.....USE WAXpaper between the thinlit and your card stock.  I also ran the die back and forth thru the Big Shot twice for extra measure.  Works like a charm and all the hexagons that pop out can be used on additional cards.

Basic Gray cardstock makes up the Hive.  A 4 X 3 inch piece of Daffodil Delight card stock was torn across one edge and embossed with the Honeycomb embossing folder.  The Bee from Hostess Set Postage Collection was stamped in Black Stazon ink.  The Sentiment from Delightful Dozen fits perfectly in the Hexagon punch.  As you notice all the Hexagons are different sizes.  This allows for layering and offsetting.  I love this look!

Ingredients:

Delightful Dozen  122652 Clear $24.95,  128547 Wood $32.95
Postage Collection  Hostess Stamp Set
Hexagon Hive  132965 $24.95
Honeycomb Embossing folder  129378 $7.95
Hexagon Punch 130919 $15.95
