Water Lily Easel

I LOVE how this easel card turned out!  And I took some step by step pictures so you can replicate!

I also used the rest of my paper piecing scraps and added the grunge stamp from Be Bold to darken up the Water Lily.

First cut your card base 11 X 4 1/4.  Then cut in half at 5 1/2.  This will be your card back and front.

Next cut your card Easel.  11 X 4 and Score at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4.  Fold as shown in this picture.

I added some stamping inside the Whisper White panel and added to the card base back with Tombow adhesive.  I then cut the ledge, 1 1/4 X 4 in Mint Macaron and emboss with the Scripty folder for some matching Texture.  Position this piece at the bottom of this panel. 

I would suggest Decorating your Card Front before adhering to this easel panel.  Then add Tombow to the White fold as shown and adjust the Card Front to fit the card base and lay flat. 

To show the easel, open and rest the card front on the ledge as shown in the below picture.  I love how the Scripty embossing folder looks on this Lily Impressions paper.  EMBOSS your Designer paper for stunning backgrounds!!

Tropical Oasis Suite

February is coming to a close and I have a Special Birthday card for a Special Lady.  You never know the connections you might make thru Stampin' Up, but that is how I met my Lula Roe lady.  And she is also a February Baby!  Happy Birthday Lani!  Her link is lulalani.com  so go shop!!  She has beautiful things!

I used the Tropical Oasis Suite for this Easel card.  I don't think I have ever made an Easel card.  Here are the details.  Cut colored card stock 11 X 4 1/4.  Cut in half.

I used Terracota Tile card stock and embossed one half with the Coastal Weave embossing folder.  Cut your inside card base in Very Vanilla.  11 X 4.  Score at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4.  Sorry did not get a picture of this step.  Adhere to the solid piece of card stock, then fold at the 5 1/2 score line and then fold back at the 2 3/4 score line creating a V shape.  Adhere your embossed solid piece to the other side of this V.  Align your front and back Card stock evenly when you adhere!  I would take another picture, but this card has been mailed!!  I promise to make another with all the steps!

I embossed a 4 X 1 1/2 piece of this Brown Designer paper pattern and layered over the Very Vanilla.  This gives a ledge for your card to rest on.  I added some Grapefruit Grove Flowers as an added stopper.  Stamped the sentiment and Hibiscus on the inside of the card.

The card front is decorated with the Pineapple and another piece of this Gorgeous Tropical Oasis Designer paper.  A bit of Metallic Twine and some sponging on the pineapple.  Also Pearls and Sequins added to the flowers.  Here is a video with more of this fabulous Suite!  Get this Suite and earn Sale-a-bration items and make beautiful cards!!

Lily Paper Piecing

I have not used the Paper Piecing technique in a long time and this Lily Die is a great Die to try! Not to many pieces!  I used the All Dressed Up paper stack to match with the Purple Posy card base and IN Color Pattern paper.  Scripty 3D embossing folder on Whisper White  and love the subtle match with the INColor Purple Posy paper pattern.

The Lily is cut from the Best Dressed Paper and Purple Posy card stock.  Save the Purple Posy pieces for another card!  The Stem is Mint Macaron with a Be Bold sentiment and a Dotted Bow.  SWEET card for any occasion!  Gather your pieces and add a small drop of Tombow and slip your paper pieces in!  Quick and Easy!  Use your paper piece colors to draw in your coordinating colors!

Melon Mambo Thanks

Here is another Great Solid Color wash on the reverse of this Lily Impressions Designer paper.  I used a Melon Mambo card base and a Rococo Rose Water Lily.  The Lily pads are Mossy Meadow card stock with Mossy Meadow ink.  Look at the TEXTURE on this paper, it looks like canvas!!

I needed a LARGE sentiment and the So Sentimental Bundle is perfect for framing large sentiments.

Monet Lily

Todays card uses a few water droplets on this Monet looking paper pattern.  I chose to pull the Grapefruit Grove tones from this paper with a matching Water Lily.  Pretty Peacock card base and Mint Macaron lily pads.

Congrats is from Label Me Bold and trimmed out with scissors.  Love these words and how versatile they are and take up very little space.  Letting all this paper SHOW!!
