Back from Vacation

So sorry I have been MIA since vacation.  We had a fabulous time.......but I caught the dreaded COLD from the planes, trains and automobiles.  I have been miserable and not doing a whole lot of anything except sleeping!  Not with the Rally Monkeys!!

Finally today I feel like I have turned the corner and hope to get back to full speed this weekend.  I received my box of NEW catalog goodies the day we left and today put the stamp sets together and was inspired to get busy!  So stay tuned for creations coming your way.

Color Theory Emboss Resist Leaves

I had to try the leaves and in Lemon Lime Twist with some Pear Pizzazz.  Emboss Leaves with Clear embossing powder on Whisper White card stock.  Ink up the Acetate with Lemon Lime twist and a bit of Pear Pizzazz.

Spritz with water and Smoosh on the embossed leaves.

And here is the finished card.......

The Sentiment was stamped on a Large Oval Stitched Framelit.  My lighting is different for these 2 pictures and they look a bit yellow.  The Oval was popped up on the embossed panel and adhered to a Lemon Lime Twist card base.

This Technique could easily be used with the Snowflakes in this set for a Beautiful Holiday card!

Color Theory Emboss Resist Blossoms

I have not smooshed on a card forever and knew this stamp set was perfect for the Emboss resist technique.
First I randomly stamped the Blossoms in Versamark and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  This muddy look is due to my versamark pad being dirty with other ink colors, but it still works!!  And if you are smooshing on color it is really easy to cover up!

Then added ink to a clear acetate sheet in Powder Pink, Berry Burst and Fresh Fig.  Spritz with water and then Smoosh on the Embossed cardstock.

Keep turning and Smooshing until you get the saturation you desire.  I inked up the acetate again with Berry Burst for this darker look.

No two will look the same and there is no right or wrong for a hand made card!

Allow to dry and then embellish and add to a Berry Burst card front.  You can also IRON your card from the back side to get a nice Flat finish!  I popped this one up, added a knot of Berry Burst ribbon.  And an Oval Stitched Framelit with a Fresh Fig Sentiment.

Blocked Beach Chair for DAD

What DAD would not want to be at the Beach?  This Block technique has been around forever and is perfect for the Combination of these 2 Stamp sets.  I used Clear Block E which is 3 7/16 X 4 7/16.
I cut a Whisper White mat 5 1/4 X 4, so this gives you a nice white space around your Block of color.

I used Soft Sky ink and inked up 3/4 of the Block, then used Crumb Cake on the remainder of the block.  I spritzed VERY LIGHTLTY with water.  Since I used Whisper White card stock I did not want the ink to run, so spritz lightly.  Line up carefully and stamp.

Then I added the Birds from High Tide and the Sea Grass.  (Wish I had kept the grass in the lines)

The Sentiment is from Guy Greetings.

And the Adirondack chair is Wood Textures paper!!  Tranquil Tide card base.

Wagon Load of Apples

This idea popped into my head when I made the Peach crate.  I just had to figure out the Wheels and a Handle.  NO problem with our ever coordinating products!  And Sheltering Tree makes a perfect background!

I stamped the Trees in Crumb Cake, Lemon Lime Twist and Pear Pizzazz.  I added some Real Red and stamped again for the look of Apples in the Trees.   Stamped full strength and then again for a muted look.

The crate was a portion of the Crate die.  This is so easy to just cut the size you need!  Wood Textures paper makes a very realistic Wagon.  The Tag in this Bundle is the right size for the all the smaller sentiments.  Linen Thread ties it all together.

The Wheels are circle punches of Black cardstock and Silver Foil.  I hand cut the handle for the wagon.  The Tree leaves stamp was stamped in Real Red ink on Real Red cardstock to resemble a pile of apples.  It's a little early for Apples, but you can let your imagination run wild with what you add to your wagon!

Baskets and Crates

I LOVE it when and OLD Stamp set meets NEW products and they have BABIES!!  So Many options for your Baskets AND Crates!!!!
My only regret is I put the crate on before I stamped the background....tried to make do....but did not turn out quite like I had planned.....

I cut a portion of the crate just big enough to look like a Strawberry Flat.  Stamped a Basket on the Wood Texture paper and cut out.  Added a handled basket and colored with Markers in Crushed Curry , Crumb Cake and Wild Wasabi.  Strawberries in Real Red with Clear Wink of Stella.  Berry Burst Flowers and Early Expresso Branches from Colorful Seasons were added to the Basket with Wild Wasabi grass.

Play Ball

The Royals have had a couple of good days and if the MEN in your life are Sports fans here is a card idea for them!  This could be a Birthday Card or many Occasions!

I did not use a crate on this card.....LOL, but I did use the Star and the Circle from this stamp set.  The Star was stamped with Night of Navy on Pacific Point card stock.  I added a Panel of the Wood Texture paper and a Greeting from Guys Greetings.

The Faux Baseballs were made with the Circle stamp.  I rolled the edges of the stamp in Crumb Cake and stamped on Very Vanilla.  I then punched these out with the 1" Circle punch.  The negative image of the punch as a guide to draw the stitching using the Real Red marker.  I then sponged some Smoky Slate around the edges.

Crate of Peaches

Needless to say once I got going with this crate the ideas piled on.......I love that when that happens!

City Market is one of my favorite weekend destinations and I love buying FRESH produce from local farmers!!

Here is my crate of Peaches!  These circles can make so much FRUIT!!  Pick your favorite and stamp!!

The Texture on these stamps really gives them a natural fruit look!  The crate was cut from the Wood Textures paper stack and the tabs were folded in and popped up.  I added the fruit with Tombow on the inside slats and arranged to peek out between and over the slats.  Looks like a Farmer's Market!

The Old Olive Chevron ribbon makes a great leaf when shredded and added with a dot of Tombow.  The Peaches were stamped with Peekaboo Peach and a bit of Tangerine Tango sponged on the edges.
See the Texture on the White Washed paper in the background......this stack has so many looks!
Now I need to practice and not get a Halo when I stamp the sentiment!
