Easter Week

Easter will be here before we know it and I have been seeing lots of adorable cards and have a few ideas running thru my mind as well.  This card is a take on a Pin from Lisa.  Thanks Lisa for this awesome idea!!  "Work of Art" is eggactly the stamp needed for this Easter Egg!

The card base is Soft Sky embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  First stamp your sentiment and cut out the Oval with Oval Framelits.   Take a Piece of Whisper White card stock and stamp the whispy shape in Mint Macaron, Soft Sky, Blushing Bride and Daffodil Delight.  Cut out with the Oval framelit.  I then added a 4 1/4 X 5 1/4 piece of Whisper white card stock to the inside of the Front of this card.  I used Dimensionals to add depth.  Then add glue to your egg and press thru the Oval hole in the Soft Sky card front.  The Bow is perfect for an embellishment!

Oh MY, Vacation was exhausting..............

I am almost recovered.......almost.  After 8 days in sunny Florida I am so ready to retire.  Wish Uncle Sam and my retirement account had the same plan.  But alas I must work and work some more.  Finally doing some laundry, going to the grocery store and catching up on everyday life. 

Oh and napping, my allergies are in full blown sneeze mode, so an allergy pill and 3 hours later I wake up and the day is half gone?  So I just drank a coca cola and hope to stay awake to make some cards, work on my scrapbook and blog!  All while the washing machine is spinning around and round.

I have so many awesome pictures from my trip that I want to scrapbook.  At one of the many little beach stores along the way I purchased this little flip flop book.  Made of leaves and other beachy material.  It says Cocoa Beach and I hope to add most of my Cocoa Beach pictures to this cute book.

Then on my Sprouts Grocery run up north I stopped at Michaels for a Project Life type scrapbook.  Kind of pricey $29.95, but I had a coupon!  Yeah!!  And love the Ocean blue color.  The Album came with 10 regular 12X12 pages and I plan to add more Project life pocket pages for all my Florida photos.  Here are some of the lay outs I am working on.  Need to print more pictures.  Love the 3 pocket narrow sleeves.  Perfect for Post Cards!!  Always buy some Post Cards on your trips.  Perfect Journal cards to add to you layouts!

Homeward Bound!!

My bags are packed, I ready to go ......love that song......Leaving on a Jet Plane, but I am probably not ready to come home.  Missing my Baby Snoopy and I'm sure she is ready to GO OUTSIDE!!  Sorry she has missed this past week of warm weather at home.

Here is a Tip on packing and only checking 1 BAG!  Flying Delta this time and I HATE paying for bags, so I check 1 Large bag each way and if I buy stuff....SHIP home the dirty stuff UPS for about $10 instead of spending another $70 for a second bag or trying to wrangle a carry on into the plane. 

This is why I LOVE South West Airlines.  Bags fly FREE!!  But SW does not go where we are going.....back to the subject at hand.......

Shine on Paper Treat Bag

This Shine On paper in the Occasions catty is perfect for your Bags and Boxes.  Heavy weight 12X12 paper with pattern on both sides!  I chose this Watermelon Wonder pattern for a Treat Bag.  The inside has gem stones printed in Silver foil.  How fun!  Check out more cool projects with this paper on page 31 of the Occasions Catalog.

Coloring according to Snoopy........Boring!

My Darling cat Snoopy is on LOCK down in the house and I'm sure she is silently giving me the evil eye.  When Snoopy wants attention she will act out.  Never in a BAD way, but she will get your attention.  As I was coloring cards and spending lots of time NOT snuggling with her,  she decided to give crafting a try.......

Sending Smiles

Here is another Coloring project with SAB stamp set Flowering Fields.

Not as much coloring on this card, only the Butterfly.  Snoopy was thankful I was about DONE! 

I stamped the wispy leaves in Pear Pizzazz and Perfect Plum.  The Butterfly was colored with Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral.  Card base is Perfect Plum embossed with the Fluttering embossing folder.  Love this color combo.  The sentiment is from Greatest Greetings and just like the name these GREETINGS are awesome!!
